A Spirit To Guide You (Jack Frost X Spirit Reader)

Chapter VII

Somewhere in Russia.

"Alright my little ones, help me get some teeth and guide souls along the way!" (Name) tells the animals, mostly cats, dogs, birds, insects, in an alley.

Suddenly, a guy opens the back door on the building to the alley. He looks up to see the animals staring at him. "Umm..." Slowly, he walks back in and closes the door.

While passing by the alley, Jack mischievous showers (Name) and her companions with snow. "I've got 5 already!" He laughs as he moves on to the next child.

(Name) steps out of the snow. "Everybody! One! Two! Go! Don't forget the penny!" She throws the coins in the air and they swoop in to catch them before separating.

Bunny enters a house, ready to take some teeth. He slowly lifts the pillow but is surprised to see a bunny. Reminds him of his origin.

"What in the... Give me that."

The rabbit, already left a coin, jumps out of the way and on to the closes exit but the guardians stands in front of him before he can escape.

"Where are ya going with that, little fella." He looms over his miniature version.

The bunny stares at him, tooth strangely being held on his paw. It's weird but not so weird when you're a spirit bunny. The bunny squeak.

"What was that?"

A dog suddenly enters the room causing Bunny to quickly open his portal, ready to grab the animal with him.

Suddenly, a parrot flies in the open window to snatch the tooth out of his paw. The rabbit and the dog leaves soon after that, leaving the guardian speechless.

"(Name)?" A child asks as the girl flies in the open window. He is one of the children who saw her during their parent's death.

Adults would call her an imaginary friend to help them cope with their parent's death.

"Hello Nikolai, how are you holding up? Has Zora been good to you?" Forget the tooth race for now, (Name) has some job to do.

"Yes, she's been the best. I missed you." The boy says then hugs her. While that is happening Zora, the mouse, takes the teeth and exchanges it with 2 pennies.

"Me too."

Suddenly, the lights open and the children's aunt enters. "Niko, who are you talking to?"

North, who just entered, had to quickly hide in the closet.

"(Name). She's back."

"Ah... okay?" The aunt looks at the boy weirdly. "What are doing up? Go to sleep or you'll be tired in the morning."

Nikolai giggles, amused on how his aunt can't see the girl. He's fine with that, he feels special to be the only one to see her. "Okay."

"Alright." The aunt closes the door.

"Alright, my little one, you have to go to rest now."

Nikolai yawns and slips on his bed once more. "When will you be visiting again?"

"I'll come as early as I can." (Name) smiles and tucks the child in his bed. "Good night." She kisses him on the forehead, sending him to sleep.

"Good night..." And he's out cold.

"Aren't you going to collect the tooth?" North asks as he comes out of his hiding spot.

"Already have." (Name) says then flies away.

The next few hours, while the Guardians are running around, (Name) is just casually doing her job as usual while also collecting teeth. She was about to travel by shadow when a familiar white haired boy swoops in to carry her.
