My name is Kendall K Vertes. This Friday I turn thirteen. That will be my day and my day only. I expect a lot on then, especially from my family. I mean we are super rich. My dad invented a bunch of stuff and makes a lot of money as an entrepreneur. Then there's my mom; head designer of Nordstrom. I always get free samples from many different extraordinary designers such as Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Prada, and many others. My birthday will be the best day in my entire life! Or so I thought.
At school, Wednesday, June 6th:
"Girls, hold my bags please. I can't strain my hand muscles before my big day on Friday" I said handing my bags to JoJo and Maddie.
JoJo my sassy diva side kick grabbed my bag full of my back up shoes-you know, just in case I break a heel. Then I handed my bag of makeup to Maddie, my beautiful and intelligent best friend.
I strutted down the hall wearing my bubblegum pink heels, topshop high waisted ripped jeans, and a cropped top.
"Hey Kendall!" Mackenzie yelled. She's always trying to get my attention.
"Oh hey Kenz. Pass out these invitations...only to the cool people. I don't want some freaks showing up at my party." I told her handing her the stack of hundreds of invitations.
"Okay, got it! Thanks Kendall." Se said skipping off.
"Ugh, Kenzie is so annoying...I had to get her to leave me alone somehow." I said turning to JoJo and Maddie annoyed while I crossed my arms.
"I know right. So annoying." JoJo said fixing her hot pink bow in her hair.
"Umm...try living with her." Maddie said rolling her eyes underneath her heart shaped sunglasses.
"Ladies, Friday is going to be great. Just imagine it! Outdoor movie theater! Watching Pitch Perfect 2 while swimming in my pool with a water slide! Oh and don't forget the hot tub and giant trampoline." We jumped up and down in excitement.
"Gee Ken! I can't wait!" Maddie said re-griping my 30 pound bag of makeup.
"Oooo...is Ian coming Ken!" JoJo said pushing me by my shoulder.
"Well now duh! I really hope he finally asks me out. I heard a rumor that he's going to at my birthday party! And maybe even kissing me too!"
Both Maddie and JoJo looked at each other and let out a tiny screech and then the three of us walked down the hall giggling with our heads held high.
