L x Reader

Chapter 1

You walked along the sidewalk, your (H/C) flowing in the breeze. You were spaces out and weren't really paying attention to your surroundings. You heard a voice calling your name but ignored it, not allowing it to interrupt your thoughts. All of the sudden, someone grabbed your hand and spun you around to face them.

It was a cute, raven haired man who wore a baggy white t-shirt and baggy jeans. He was slouching a bit. "Hello," the strange man said, "Are you (Y/N) (L/N)?"

"Um yes?" You replied, but it sounded more like a question. "How do you know my name?"

The strange man replied, " (Y/N), are you aware of the killer known as Kira?"

"Y-yes," you replied. The strange man was beginning to freak you out a little bit. "But you still haven't answered my question. Who are you and how do you know my name?" You demanded.

The man sighed and said, "My name is L and I'm the lead detective on the Kira case. The reason I know your name is because I came here to ask you something. I have heard you are very smart and believe that you can help us with the Kira case. Will you join?"

You tried hard not to squeal in delight. It has been your dream to work with the famous detective L and you were even more overjoyed that you were able to see his face. "Yes! Of course I'll join!" You say happily, a smile on your face.

"Excellent. But first I need to interview you. Can you meet me at the café downtown tomorrow at noon?"

"Sure thing," you replied overjoyed. "I'll see you then!" You parted ways and went home.

You flopped down in your bed and stared at the ceiling. You were too excited to sleep. You tossed and turned but was eventually able to sleep, dreaming about your interview tomorrow.

~~a/n. Here is the end of the first chapter. Sorry if it is kinda boring but it should get better later. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to update this while I still have school. I only have another week left so hopefully I will have plenty of time to write this summer. ~~
