The Key hunters

chapter 1

"There she goes again", Cleo whispered.Evan closed his joke book. 

"Who goes again?" he asked."Ms.Crowley,"Cleo said. "every day,she disappears into the back of the library".Not one kid in school liked the new librarian. (A/N(like my social studies teacher))After Ms.Hilliard left mysteriously at the end of last year,Ms.Crowley swooped in to take the job. 

Although they both had the same brown eyes,Ms. Hilliard's were warm and welcoming while Ms.Crowley only made them sit in their seats and stay quiet ."She's probably shelving  books" Evan said.  "librarians love shelving books,".

"Hey,do you know why an elephant uses his trunk as a book mark?""i don't care" Cleo said,peering down the aisle where she vanished."dang you looking that hard-" Evan said trying not to laugh."she probably needs help,oh look a key around her neck!'' 

Cleo said. "happy?" Evan said confused,"the 'happy' part is that i found this key before."

Cleo said.    "Oh' 'yay'" Evan said

Cleo rolled her eyes because it was serious.  She tightened her pony tail and said, "i'm going to find out what she's up to". "Bad idea" Evan said,tucking his joke book into his backpack. "Why do you lose recess every day?"

"Because i don't stay in my seat," Cleo said. "But i had a good reason today"

"Sure" Evan said rolling his eyes. "I'm going" she said ,"oh well you are about to be punished,a life  without recess" he said 

"Ms. Crowley will be the one who gets punished." Cleo said. "A teacher should never leave two kids alone. We could get hurt."

 With that, Cleo darted between the shelves. Evan knew following her would only lead to trouble, but he didn't want Cleo to think he is a chicken over something dumb like this.

they were sneaking around shelves trying not to get caught but Ms. Crowley said "DART!!!!" she said in anger."Which book is it ?!".  "Ms. Crowley,is everything okay?" Cleo said 

Ms. Crowley turned around with her grumpy face on, "ew she needs more makeup" Cleo whispering to Evan. "do you think i care about her freaking make Cleo really?" Evan said whispering back. "What do you kids want",

"well we heard noise back here so we are thinking you are in trouble" Cleo said 

"what kind of trouble do you two kids think i'm in trouble for?" 

"paper cut?"

"book shelves falling"

"tripped over something"

"or stubbing your pinky toes" 

"you do have a point there" Cleo said 

"ENOUGH" Ms. Crowley said anger."YOU TWO GO BACK TO YOUR SEATS"  

  "but-".," GO NOW!" "not another word from Franklin hardy and Nancy drew" 

they went back to their seats, "Awesome" Cleo said 

"HOW IS THAT Awesome?!","because she called me Nancy drew" " you look like a Nancy drew" 

Evan said. "Excuse me?,you're just mad that she called you Franklin hardy" 

"why do i have to be mad about it, everyone called you Nancy drew because you were obsessed with her since you were a kid,and i'm not mad about being a Franklin hardy and i don't want a girl name called 'Nancy Drew' so get your self checked about that,and i'm going to the back to get that book while i have to enjoy my freedom in recess and you getting in trouble". Evan said

"well are you coming or standing there like a chicken"

"..."

"oh well then i'm going"

"ok fine geez'

while they went to the back they found a basement that led to the book shelves all around,they went down and found so many books so they pulled every single book until Cleo pulled a book that says 'mysterious moonstone' and a random book opened on the middle of the table they saw a key lock 

"hey,that must be the key to the book" Cleo said 

"what key?"

"the key that Ms. Crowley has around her neck"

"how are we about to get it"

"i have an idea"

they got out of the basement and went to their seats  

"where were ya'll two?"

"we were at the comic book section looking for some books"

"then why don't I see any books in ya'll hands"

"That was because my mom told us to come home"

"okay then" then she left the library 

they took their stuff and went to the basement,but before they went Evan saw a key on her desk and it was the key he quickly grabbed it and they ran down stairs,when they got there they heard a door open so they took the book and the key and they hid in the secret door that Ms. Hilliard showed them,good thing the new librarian doesn't know while they're in the secret room they opened the book with the key and it has a note that says 

'I've never imagined the legends were true-or that one would be right here beneath  my school. if you have found this note,i am trapped somewhere between these covers of enchanted books.to find me,travel through these stories and help give each one the ending it deserves.fail and you will meet the same fate as me.succeed and you will discover wonders beyond your dreams.always look for the key that will move you forward on your journey. "i'm not fragile," Evan said

Cleo held back her laughter. "You kinda are," she said." so as your legs when you try to do that one kick". "aye! that was one time", "yeah,the one trying to act cute around your crush" Evan said rolling his eyes and laughter."what do you want me to do he looks cute"

"yeah? but he plays girls,"

"i don't care"

"smh says the person annoying the red flag"

" I know, I know,but he is smart,nice,funny,and amazingly cute"
"wrong answer he is a player,read my lips p.l.a.y.e.r,PLAYER GOT DANG IT"

"ok,ok lets stop talking about Jason"

while they were done they got pulled into the book. It was weird Evan has a suit and Cleo has this puffy dress.

they both looked at each other and started laughing "you should look at you" Cleo said 

"look at you at you too" Evan said 

A/N:ok everyone i'm going to pause here and i'll make an update when i'm done with these chapters Also tell me,how many chapters should i make? just comment for ya'll  decision cyaaaaa mwah!
