"What- is wrong with you?" Ginny shoved me.

"Calm down!" I pushed her into one of the red armchairs.

"Why'd you say no? He's-" she swooned a bit. Well, as much as you could on a chair. "Perfect."

"Well, I don't really know him and he's not that good looking either..."

"WHAT?! Every other girl would have fainted and said yes!"

"Let them have the chance then!" The news had spread quickly the next day. Honestly, how do they keep their grades up with all this useless drama filling their minds?

There were many different variations of what happened, one including me being sweeped off my feet by Cedric, saying yes, then me being cruelfully heartbroken after seeing him kiss Cho Chang, which explains why they're going to the dance together. Others had to do with a cruel no and a sharp smack to the face. Others had to do with me asking him out. As if.

Ginny sighed, shaking her head, not getting why I rejected him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ron sulking around. Yesterday, Ron had come teary-eyed after being humiliated by Fleur and basically, the rest of the school. Poor kid. I was also dateless. And fragile. My plan was to bring Ginny with me so I wouldn't be alone and she wouldn't have to skip out but she was going with Neville. A girl that wasn't even old enough to go in the first place had a date when I was left alone! Ridiclous.

I was stressing, I'm not going to lie. I don't know what it is, from the hormones to the fact I would have to face the embarrassment, I don't know what's driving me to be like this. All I know is, I'm geting desperate.

Shutting my copy of Pride and Prejudice, I sighed, and closing my eyes, deciding that a nap should clear my thoughts.

"BOO!" The twins popped out of both sides of the armchair, snapping me out of my moment of near serenity.

"Mother-"

"We heard about your little er-disappointment- with Diggory thought we'd come and be a friend and help you out of your shame spiral." Fred said. I groaned.

"Don't you something better to do? Don't you need a date?"

"Ah, of course! Oi! Angelina!" And he confidently waked away.

"Speaking of dates," George said, sitting on the armrest. "Those delicious fruit-things," I cocked my head, raising an eyebrow "would you like to go to the ball with me?" I reopened my book, trying to keep a casual demeanor.

"Oh yah, the ball. Sure." I could feel a small blush coming up my cheeks.

"Great!" I could practically hear his smile. "So it's a date!" And he hopped away. A small grin broke out on my face.
