Summary:

Three little words.

Three very specific little words.

Three words that Wednesday Addams refused to say.

Enid didn't know why she wanted to hear them so badly. She did, however, know that she would stop at nothing to coax those particular words out of her roommate's scowling mouth. Even if it meant resorting to some good-natured torture.

She'd learned from the best, after all.

Wednesday was typing.

Which wasn't a surprise, she's always typing. At least, when she can find time between dishing out colorful threats and acting on said threats.

This was part of her normal routine.

Well, it was mostly part of her normal routine. There was one glaringly obvious contrast to this familiar scene; a twinkle of color on her dark canvas.

Enid Sinclair.

The vibrant girl had brought her own desk chair up to meet Wednesday's. She was clinging on to the dark girl while she wrote, one arm around her pale neck, the other scrolling through some godforsaken form of social media. Every once in a while, she'd nuzzle the shorter girl's neck or give her a kiss on the cheek.

She was suffocating her with affection.

And Wednesday thought strangulation was the best way to suffocate. How vexing.

The writer felt the pressure on her side alleviate as Enid perked up. She was clearly preparing to ask her something.

"Hey, Wednesday?"

No response. But a slight nod of affirmation made it clear she was listening.

"Did you think it was... ugly when I turned into a wolf?"

Wednesday kept writing. By now, she was more than used to her girlfriend's insecurities. Comforting her had become nearly a daily responsibility. One that she relished, although she would never admit it. She responded simply.

"Elaborate."

"I mean, like, I saw something that said wolves have a hard time dating a non-wolf because they find their shifting.. unattractive."

"How so?"

Enid was fidgeting now, picking at her colorful fingernails.

"I don't know, I guess they think it's... gross? Violent?"

Dark lips pursed as Wednesday pondered how to convey her feelings in a way Enid would understand.

"On the contrary, violence can be quite beautiful. Especially when defending someone you love."
