A/N: A couple things before you read-
1) I wrote this after a year of writer's block. This in no way guarantees me being back to posting in any sort of routinely manner. This is also unedited because words can't begin to describe how much I hate editing-
2) The cover is made by me. The picture at the top of this is the cover just in its original coloring.

Will Byers was your average teenager. He stayed up way too late at night and hated himself for it when he woke up for school in the morning. He had a small group of friends, nothing too excessive. He liked to draw, paint, color. While he's never dated, he can say with utmost sincerity that he's been in love with his best friend before he even knew what love felt like.

See? Totally, and completely.. average.

Well, except for one big, ginormous, huge ass secret.

Will Byers was also your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. How it happened, you may ask?

Life's got a funny way of working out, is how he'd put it. A year ago, his whole class had gone on a trip to Brenner Industries(the name has absolutely no ring to it, but he digresses). Most kids at Will's high school wanted to pursue careers in the science field. Not including himself, but it didn't really matter because, holy shit. The place was cool.

He'd passed the building probably thousands of times in his childhood, staring up at the 60-story building to see if he could see the top (spoiler alert: he couldn't). The place was so high security that it was pretty much impossible to get in unless you worked there or you were given special access. Luckily for him, he finally got that opportunity his sophomore year.

The inside was filled with people who had more degrees than he could count. There were inventions and serums galore. The explanations of what they did were things that he couldn't even fathom.

One woman, holding up a vial with a deep purple liquid, had explained that its intent was to replenish infertile soil so that farmers could keep growing their crops. How that worked, he had no clue. Weren't chemicals the problem in the farming industry anyway? How was the solution more chemicals?

As they continued the tour, they came across more and more restricted areas that were 'much too dangerous for high school students.' Most of the class accepted the rules, agreeing that they didn't want to blow themselves up. Well, except for Dustin Henderson.

"Will," he whispered from their spot in the back of the group. They were the only ones of their friends who had been stuck with the same tour guide. "Will, come on." Dustin poked the boy's hand.

Will swatted his hand away. "Not now, Dustin."

"Fine," he shrugged. "I'll go by myself."

"Wait, no-" Will turned to look at his friend but he was already gone. "Dustin." He hissed, rushing off to find the other.

He spotted him, five minutes later, standing in front of a door with a sign that read in big bold letters, 'SPECIAL ACCESS ONLY: DO NOT ENTER'. Dustin now had a bright white lab coat on that was honestly an eye-sore. How he managed to get it, he didn't know. Will also wasn't sure he wanted to ask.

"Oh, hey. Nice of you to join me."

"Yeah, well." Will looked over the door. "You need a key-card to get almost everywhere in this place, so I'm not super w-"

The door clicked open, a little light dinging green, and Will finally noticed the badge Dustin had produced from his coat pocket. Seeing the look on his face, Dustin smirked at him. "You were saying?"

"If we get caught, we're so dead."

"Yeah? So let's not get caught." He pushed the door open and stepped inside, Will quickly following behind. It clicked shut, causing Will to jump.
