"Marcus, Caius, look!" Aro crooned. "Bella is alive after all, and Alice is here with her! Isn't that wonderful?"
Neither of the other two looked as if wonderful would be their first choice of words.
The dark-haired man
seemed utterly bored, like he'd seen too many millennia of Aro's enthusiasm.Instead he glared daggers into my head as if he wanted me to just drop dead.
The other's face was
sour under his dark hair. He definitely didn't want to be here. Yet he was definitely intrigued by something around me."Let us have the story," Aro almost sang in a much lighter voice. Although soon enough I zoned out again.
I couldn't help it. I'm in a unknown cult like place, I have no one here for me, and that blow on my head aches. Knocking me out? All because I didn't want to go? Now that's just crossing the line even for Bella....or was it Alice?
Even as my thoughts piled up on one another I could still find myself pinned under His icy gaze. Until Alice pulls me to her side. Gaining a harsh growl from the blonde on the throne.
That growl alerted everyone in the room, but it made the man in the middle curious. I'm pretty sure his name was Aro, could be wrong, but I believe I'm right.
" What seems to be the trouble dear brother? " Aro asked while extending his hand to the blonde man.
The blonde didn't respond at all. Only sending me or maybe Alice a few glares. That caused Alice to let go of me which I immediately took advantage of. Separating myself from the group without a second thought.
Now all eyes we're directed at me. Which caused me to shift back and forth of my feet. Seriously I was basically invisible before. Now it's like I'm on a stage with spotlights directly on me for once.
Marcus ended up holding his outstretched arm to Arm. The poor thing looks depressed or pretty tired of the entire situation. Probably wants to go back to sleep.
Aro grabbed Marcus hand instead. Leaving me in a whiplash from how fast the man managed to move. Bringing it close before zoning out. Only to quickly turn to look at the blonde with a growing smile.
" Ah, hahahaha dear brother your reaction was understandable, but don't you think you frightened her away already? " Aro questions although I couldn't tell if he meant his words. That childish like laugh and accent came back as he looked over at me.
I glanced around the room to avoid eye contact finding the four others in the room as well. Two on the other side of the throne with two behind us at the door. Running would be futile if I cannot even make it past the door.
My best bet is just disappearing. I can attempt it, but the trick is more like camouflaging. The walls were all the same color, but I will have to lure those two from the doors first. That's already a risky gamble. Especially when I don't want to reveal myself to anyone here.
" Get on with the trail Aro. Worry about my case later. " Shouted the blonde while rubbing his head. Not gonna lie his voice sounded rather alluring. If it wasn't for the fact that he looks like he wants to kill me. I may would have been drawn to it.
"Dear Caius," Aro smiled. "Do not fret. Think of the possibilities! They do not join us today, but we can always hope for the future. Imagine the joy young
Alice alone would bring to our little
household....Besides, I'm so terribly curious to see how Bella turns out!"That's when it finally dawned upon me. I was standing in the middle of a cult meeting. A vampire cult meeting. I slowly became more aware of my surroundings. From the bloody red eyes to how fast each being was moving.
Sure, I read about their kind, but why was Bella roped into this? Does she know? She has to. A secret like this wouldn't have been a easy to keep from her. She can be quite a pest when it came to the unknown.
That brings me back to the reason I'm here. Was Alive planning to use me for bait? A blood bag to get Bella out safely? I wouldn't put it pass her. She favors Bella just as I favored Rosalie.
"Then we are free to go now?" Edward asked, even his voice sounded troubled. He clutched onto Bella like a guard dog. If he was this worried about her then why leave in the first place?
That would have save Dad the headache, and mental pain from dealing with Bella. Although I will be surprise if he stays with her. Especially after everything she's been doing with Jake.
"Yes, yes," Aro said pleasantly. "But, both sisters cannot leave. The other Swan must stay for a longer chat. "
" Deal! " Alice shouted before pushing Bella towards the door.
That's when everything stopped for a moment. Yes, I saw something like this coming. However I didn't expect the pain to feel this way.
For a slit second I felt a wave of hatred wash over my body. I looked, and locked eyes with Caius before looking at the door. Mumbling a low curse to myself as others filled the room.
As the room fill up with people, I crouched down before disappearing from sight. Blending in well enough to run out the room before anyone noticed.
" Your rather early, Heidi. Well I suppose that cannot be helped. Will someone escort the Swan out? It would be rather...."
I didn't want to listen further taking the chance to run back out. Only to end up in a ball I didn't recognize, and it feels like I been running forever. All the corridors looked the same.
Seriously I have a bad sense of direction. I passed the same fricking painting 3 times now! Each hall was just connected to yet another maze.
That's when I noticed a vampire rushing passed me. He stopped and looked around. Sniffing around before running off only to appear back in the same spot.
" Now I'm might be died, but I'm not crazy. Come out Miss Swan. The masters would like to talk to you. "
I froze in my spot as he looked around for me. I was standing by the large window. Moving away whenever he got to close.
I don't think getting out is a option here. I may be better off just going. I could always run away again right?
" You have 5 seconds Miss. 1,...2....3...4..-" He counted down slowly each word sounding like sirens in my ear. Without much of a choice I....
