Inside a dark cold room were two people. One who was laying on her bed and the other who was beside the bed. The one on the bed was an younger female whose lips were trembling, she seemed to be cold or sick. The one standing next to the bed was a woman who looked to be a young adult, whose head was hanging low and there seemed to be tears in her eyes.
"Will you tell me where momma is now, Jasmin" the youngest sister spoke. "I'm 18 already, I need to know." Jasmin wanted to say she knew where her mom was but she really didn't know. She would normally tell her sister that her mom was at work and would be home when she was sleep, but she had to tell the truth. She just had to, but when she opened her mouth to tell her, "Momma...is still at work, Kia."
She couldn't do it, she couldn't tell her sick sister the truth. The truth of her mom disappearance was too complicated for a 18 year old to understand. Jasmin couldn't even understand. She was only 17 when her parents disappeared . "You should take a rest now Kia," Jasmin spoke "I'll see you in the morning" she added.
Early the next day:
Jasmin walks into Kia's room with her head hanging low, focused on her phone. She was texting someone. She picked up her head to find Kia's twin brother, Kai, in his bed. He must be really tried because he still had his work uniform on. Jasmin took a blanket and covered Kai up. Then, she proceed to check on Kia. Kia seemed to be doing a little better. "What am I supposed to do now." Jasmin had been watching over her younger siblings for 3 years, it was a lot if work especially when one of them were very sick. She was strong though, she went to work everyday. She would always overwork herself, but she did it so she could provide for her siblings and herself, she also needed to pay for her sister's treatment. It was unhealthy for her, but Jasmin was so close to achieving that goal.
"Jasmin? Are you okay, you've been sitting there thinking to yourself for sometime." Kia asked in a slightly tired tone. "I'm perfectly fine, Kia. Are you hungry? I have breakfast waiting."Words: 399
