Instead of walking to the University campus, Hannah decided to ride a bus. When the bus door was opened, the bus driver politely greeted Hannah "good morning ma'am. There are no more seat available." Hannah replied "good morning, too. It's Ok. I am used to standing in the bus in my country" while dropping her fare. Hannah walked towards the middle of the bus and a familiar voice said "have a seat please." Hannah was surprised to see Igor standing and giving his seat. Hannah thanked Igor.
They both got down from the bus at the second bus stop. Hannah complimented Igor by saying "you're so kind. There are few men nowadays who do what you just did that's why I'm surprised by your gesture." "You're welcome" replied Igor. "By the way, do you have some kind of religious affiliations or you think God is non-existent?" inquired Hannah. "My family is a Muslim. I am raised with a Muslim faith. How about you? " replied Igor. "I am a Christian. Most Filipinos, about 85%, are Christians but there are also Muslims in my country especially in the southern part of the Philippines." commented Hannah. They stopped talking as they enter their Statistics class with Prof. Schmidt already discussing his lessons for the day.
Hannah is reminded of a bible passage which says "Do not yoked together with unbeliever for what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: " I will live with them and walk among them and I will be their God and they will be my people. Therefore come out from them and be separate. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 With convictions, Hannah knew that Igor is not a boyfriend or husband material.
