Brendon's POV. Bodyglitter!fic as requested by my buddy harlequinfetus on tumblr, is there more that need be said ((when I'm inching through your bed xx lol))?

"Ry, I'm home!" I say, singing the door to my, well, ourapartment. We're sharing it. Ever since he decided the band over college, he's been struggling with money, we all have. So to save, we have two apartments:: Jon and Spencer share one, and then me and Ryan.

Before you go and infer anything, no, we aren't together, okay. Not in the least. We're just friends, or so Ryan says.

Sometimes, I wish we were more. But I'm not selfish, I'll take what I can get.

Instead of the usual small, silent greeting by Ryan, generally reading some obscure or classic book, or writing some new lyrics, I pad into the living room to find his usual spot unoccupied. His book is in the same place it was when I left, which is unusual. He always reads. Today shouldn't be any different.

I shrug my jacket off onto the couch arm and look out on the small patio. He's not there. I look in the kitchen, his room, he's not anywhere. I even look in my room. All that's left is the half-bathroom. But I don't hear the shower running, and there's no toilet in there or anything... So I have no clue what he would be doing there. But I might as well check.

"Ryan, what are you doing? I didn't see you anywhere and I--" I stop mid-sentence as I swing open the bathroom door to see Ryan--

all of his delicate features and curves highlighted with shimmering silver and gold body glitter.

I gulp and his grip on the brush he was using, presumably to apply it all, drops out of his hand.

"Uh, Bren. I was just um--" He goes to grab for the makeup remover, stumbling over all his words. He looks utterly emabrassed, and I can't help but smirk as I grab his wrist.

"I knew it was a stupid idea," he says. "I look like a fucking fairy, don't I. I look up to meet his gaze and his beautiful honey eyes are framed in swirls of the glitter, reflecting light from the old bulbs into them in a breathtaking way. They sparkle and shimmer as the light bounces off the metallic specs. I want to take a picture, show the world how fuckinggorgeous he is, but I think it might not be the best idea.

"No, Ryan. Don't, it's fine." He bites his lip and looks down at the ground and I release his wrist. He wrings it with his right hand.

"R-really? I don't look stupid? I mean I liked the idea but I wasn't sure if everyone else would so I... I just wanted to try it..." He trails off, and when he looks up, he's blushing. His cheeks are a light pink.

"I, I think you look good." He smiles a little, the blush still remaining. My heart is soaring, I just finally confessed some of my feelings for him.

"Thanks, glad I don't look like a girl." And it drops. He didn't realize what I meant by 'look good', obviously. I want to say something as he packs it all up, but I just stand there, watching him put up the brushes and spray glitter can and jar of loose glitter. I study the way that the glitter highlights the small muscles under his pale skin and I'm in awe. Before I even realize it, he looks up and realizes I'm staring. I blush and look away, and before I realize it, I'm speaking to him again.

"Ryan." He looks at me puzzledly. I move closer and he backs into the wall.

"Yeah?" I step closer and I can feel his body heat radiating off of him. I put one hand on the wall, and block him in. He meets my gaze and his eyes are wide with confusion, but they are darker than before, clouded with something I'd never seen in his eyes before. I can't think of what it may be. At some point, our faces got close as well, and our lips are separated by a tiny gap of air. Our breaths are mingling and I can feel his nervous breathing on my lips.
