As Demara gets up and ready for the day she hears a crash from down stairs
Demara pov.
'What the heck!?' I dash down stairs to see my friend Penny lying in a mess of broken glass."Pen! What the heck happened!! Are you okay!?" I question as I help her up."Yup! I'm good but the housekeeper is going to kill me!" She jokingly says with a hint of worry.
Penny pov.
I'm happy to have Demara as a friend she is caring and kind. She was shy and distant when her and her brother first showed up in the orphanage. But she warmed up to me slowly after time.
"Hey, Mara I was wondering why you don't talk to anyone else But me and Aladen?" I ask, she stares at me for a few moments her eyes soon turning into a glare,"Because..." She replies. I start to feel annoyed how she always ignores my questions! But I drop it and we start cleaning the mess I made.
Narrator:
Once they tell the caretakers what happened Penny was scolded and is grounded from helping in the kitchen again.
Aladen pov.
I get woken up from a shove from behind, making me fall of my bed. I jump with a start only to be met with my stupid twin sisters gaze,"Mara..!?" I gritt my teeth glaring her down. She shrugges. "Time for breakfast." She tells me before closing the door.'Geez she scares me and annoys me! Whatever I will prank her later first I need to get ready.'
Five minutes later
Aladen has finished getting ready and he headed down stairs for breakfast, when he got there he saw that everyone else had finished. So he just took his plate to the living room only to find his sister reading alone in the corner near the fireplace."Wha'cha reading?" I ask, she ignores me and keeps reading. 'Fine be like that!' I turn to see Jaden one of my friends walk in with a plate of food as well.'Geuss we both slept in' I wave him over and he sits down on the couch next to me."Hey...um. Can I ask you something?" He says uneasy,"Sure?" He turns and looks me in my eyes,"If you we're adopted in to Demara's family how are you twins?" He asks nervously trying to not hurt my feelings."Oh! Heh..well um it's weird cause we were born on the same day and year so yeah..haha!" Aladen
