Lisa was walking through the almost empty street under the light of the street lights. It was almost 10 of the night as she was being called to her office for some important work this evening but it took longer time more than she thought it would take.
Booking a taxi was hard as her Phone' battery was almost dead. She sighed as she can't to anything but to walk to her house alone.
On the way she heard Siren of police cars, as the sound got closer to her direction, she noticed five cars coming to her direction.
She wide her eyes and her heart started to beat faster as she felt herself getting nervous and scared seeing one car of the police to stop near her.
The window slid down and the officer who was driving the car looked out, asking, "young lady, what are you doing out here this time? it's not good to be alone here." The officer said as he looked around the area for once
"Why? Is anything wrong sir?" She asked, trying not to sound nervous.
"Well, we were looking for a criminal who had just ran from the Jail, have you saw a strange man running towards this direction or somewhere?" He asked her.
"I'm sorry sir, but I didn't saw anyone coming in this way" she replied quickly
"I'm sorry to disturb you young lady, well- you shouldn't stay out for too long. If you found something around then please inform us, and better Don't stay out." He said, getting a nod and bow from Lisa he pulled up the window and started to drive away, until they were out of her sight.
Lisa was scared as she heard that the criminal had been escaped. Her heart was beating fast as now there was no trance of anyone on the road.
She started to take hasty steps and took out her phone but she noticed that her phone was already dead now. She cursed her phone for being dead at such a time. She can't even call anyone to pick her up!
She was now feeling slightly relieved as her house was just five minutes away from where she was rn. While cursing her phone she heard someone's voice, something like groaning in pain? She held her phone tightly and started to follow the voice.
It was coming from the side of the tall building beside it, in the dark.
Beside the building, no light, only dark.
She gulped hard and started to take steps towards where the voice was coming from. Her heart beating more fast at the every step she take.
Getting into the dark she tried to look but didn't saw anything, she walked inside with slow baby steps and saw a man lying in the ground while holding onto his stomach. A slight light of moon falling near him, she saw him groaning in pain, she stepped closer and kneeled down, she doesn't knew from where on the earth she got such energy of doing this all as she was now talking to a stranger who was lying there with pain.
"Excuse me? Ar-are you okay..?" She slowly asked in a low voice as she slowly moved her hand forward to keep it on his shoulder.
"Go away.." he sounded low and weak
"What?- wait, you are in pain and you need to take to the hospital." She said as she held his hand but he jerked away with the slight energy he had left in himself.
"The heck! You need to get to the hospital!" She said as she held his arm and tried to make his stand.
"I.. don't... Please don't take me to the hospital.. please- I- I request to you- please take me..." He was stuttering while talking as he can't talk more as he felt like his energy was going down and down, "please, don't take... To the h-h-hospital.." he said as much as he could
