Emma walked up to the gate and put her hands on the bars.

The closer I walked the bars the colder it got. 

"What is this?" Emma asked looking out behind the gate in curiosity. I wondered as well looking at the gate's bars. 

"It's a gate, it connects the inside and the outside." Ray said stating the obvious

"We've never been outside." Emma said sounding more curious than before.

"That's because we've never been outside since we were born"

"Mom always tells us that, doesn't she? "Don't go near the gate or fence in the back of the forest because its dangerous." Emma quoted smiling.

"That's odiously a lie." Ray stated, as I nodded.

"Really?" Emma questioned looking over at ray.

"He's right, the fence shorter than us, and the outside the fence in the forest doesn't look too dangerous."

"Hey Ray! What do you want to do if you go outside?" Emma smiled looking over at the three of us.

"I don't know. What about you?"

"I want to ride a giraffe!" Emma shouted in excite.

"Goodluck." ray replied.

(for some reason it trying to auto correct 'goodluck' to geoduck)

"I wonder..." Norman said wrapping his finger around the cold metal bars. " I wonder what this gate is protecting us from."

My eyes widened, as looked over at him.

I opened my eyes immediately to the sound of the bell, just was emma as hopping out of bed.  

"Everyone, wake up! Or you'll be late for breakfast!" Emma yelled, throwing her arms up as well as waking everyone else up.

"Hey! wait for me!"

"No way!" Thoma and lannion said running into the hallway.

"Hey! stop messing around and get ready!" Gilda yelled for them.

"Emma I can't get my shoes on!"

"I can't tie my laces!

"Okay hold on don't cry" Emma said as I got up, grabbing onto the book I read and looked out of the window, mainly staring at the gate.

The other children and I started going to the table in the main area for breakfast as I decided to take a detour and go to the library to put the book back.

-(Emma's POV)-

"Good morning Don, Conny, and little bunny!" I greeted as they smiled.

"Morning, Emma!"

"Morning!" They both said in unison, smiling.

I ran into the main area, to see the table and a clean white tablecloth.

"Look we made it!"  I celebrated as thoma and lannion bumped into me and Phil as they giggled. I started slowly laughing, playing along. "Watch out..." My face filled with a huge grin, looking as mischievous as possible. "I'm gonna eat you!"

-(Elliott's POV)-

I walked around the corner to see emma tightly hugging lannion and thoma as all three of the them laughed, and phil jumped up on emma head. I slightly smiled and went the other way. I went through to the other hallway to see Norman and Ray walk out of the kitchen having their backs turned towards Emma.
"Morning, Norman and Ray!" Emma laughed holding phil in a piggy back ride.
