Always Been You (gxg) - Chapter 6

Y/N POV

When Hailee told me she still loves me, I was beyond happy. I didn't know if I should tell her how I feel about her. I'm scared of getting hurt again.
She told me she will go home to her parents so I took her to the airport to fly to Tarzana, California. Her brother paid for her ticket and atleast I know she wasn't lying. It's not that I don't trust her , it's just that I want her to be safe.
"Thank you so much for everything Y/N." She said
"You're always welcome Hailee, " I smiled and we shook hands , it was very awkward.
"I should be going, you take care okay?" She said and I nodded.
Then she disappeared from the crowd.

1 month later

Hailee's POV

It was my birthday and I lived with my parents for a while since I don't have any project yet. Finally I could spend it with my family here. I didn't plan anything grand for my birthday , a simple celebration will be enough as long as I am with them.
I woke up and I see people blowing up my phone greeting me happy birthday. I scrolled and read them , I was looking for a particular person if she still remember me but I didn't see her. I wasn't exactly expecting her to greet me but atleast somehow she would but of course it's been a while so she probably forgot it now.
She was in my mind 24/7 , I couldn't even sleep thinking about her.

Time passed and It was dinner time.
I heard a knock and i told them to come in and my mom , dad and my brother Griffin came in my room to greet me. They hugged me and I miss them so much.
"So honey, we want you to wear this dress tonight. Get ready now and we will wait by the door until you're finished." My mom said.
"But I didn't prepare anything for my birthay that I have to wear a dress." I said.
" Just get ready okay?" Mom said and kissed my cheeks. They went out of my room. I wore the red dress that my mom prepared for me , I put on a little make up and fix my hair. When I went out my mom was standing by the door.
"You look beautiful dear, Turn around for me honey." And I did and she put a blindfold on me.
"Mom?"called.
"I'm here honey I'll guide you down okay." She said and I nodded.
I walked slowly with my mon holding my waist and arms. i could hear her laugh a little.
"Where are we going exactly Mom?" I laughed.
"You'll see." I could feel I stepped on a grass, it was probably on our backyard since that was the only part of our house that have grasses.
I could hear a murmur and I could tell that there are people around.
Then we stopped and my mom took the blindfold off of me and I was surprised by my relatives and friends greeting me altogether a Happy Birthday.
I looked around and it was decorated beautiful. I was happy and touched at the same time. Tears fell down with joy. They all hugged me and I feel so loved.
There were lots of foods and drinks and the table setting was incredible. Griffin pulled me to go infront of the 2 tier cake and everyone sang and i blow out the candle. They all cheered and I was really touched.

We celebrated the party and everybody was having fun. Griffin tapped my shoulder and I turned arounf to face him.
"Hey sis, come with me I have something to show you." He said and I gladly followed him.
We went to other side of the yard in the gazebo nearby my mom's garden. Griffin stopped.
"Wait here, I left something. I'll be right back." Then he disappeared leaving me.
I stood there for a moment and suddenly the yellow dim lights turned on. It was beautiful. Great job Griffin I thought. I was looking above and I heard footsteps. When  I turned around , my heart dropped at the sight of Y/N. She was smiling at me and holding a boquet of flowers infront of me. What is she doing here I thought. Then she slowly walked towards me.
"Happy Birthday Hailee." She said as she handed me the flowers and I gladly took it.
" Thanks Y/N. But may I ask you what are you doing here?" I asked her not being rude.
" I came to see you." She said and I just looked at her.
"Hailee when you left , I thought I will be okay and moved on from you. But to be honest , I didn't. I wanted to forget about you but I really couldn't. I realized that I never want to let you go again. I have once but this time,I don't want to let that happen again." Y/ N said and I freeze. She took my hand by hers and looked me in the eye.
"Hailee, I love you. " my eyes started to cloud.
"Y/N I love you too , I really do, I wanted to be with you so bad and I couldn't even sleep thinking about you. Thinking about how are you everyday, if you already had breakfast or how was your work and if you got home safely , but I don't want you to regret your decision like I did. I regret that I left you for someone elese. I could never forgive myself if you got hurt again of being with me. So, are you sure about how you feel about me?" I asked her and my voice started to break because of tears.

"Hailee I am beyond sure. The truth is, even if you hurt me that never stopped me from loving you Hailee. I've always loved you." Y/N confessed and I put the flowers on the seat beside us and cupped her face. She was crying, then she took both of my hands and asked me.
"Hailee? Will you be my girlfriend again?" I looked up at her and I cried when at her question. I couldn't speak I nodded many times and she pulled my waist and engulfed me with a hug. I hugged her back and cried on her shoulder. I melted into her arms and It felt like home. We stood for a minute hugging each other , when we pulled out we slowly leaned in until our lips touched. It was a loving kiss and I put my hands over her shoulder to pull her closer and deepend the kiss. When air became the problem we broke out and our forheads touched and we both smiled. But I remembered something, so I pulled a little.
"So you broke up with Madeline or did she?" I asked and she was schocked at my question.
"What?" Y/N asked.
"You were together right? You introduced her to me when I bumped into you a month ago."then she let out a laugh.
" I did intoduce her to you but I never said she's my girlfriend. Madeline is my cousin. She is like my sister that is why we are close." She explained.
"Oh. Well , that gives me a satisfaction that you don't have an ex girlfriend who will barge in or bang on the door crying and begging for you to take her back." We both laughed.
"The thing is Hailee, I never dated anyone after you. It's always been you." She said and I smiled and felt butterflies.
I tooke her hand and kiss the back of her palm.
"I love you Y/N"
"I love you too Hailee."
We sat at the gazebo as I put my head on her chest and intertwining our fingers and whispering sweet nothings. Of course we flirted with each other and giving sweet kisses. How I miss this moment with
Y/N . I could stay like this here forever.
