Chapter 4

I woke up to the sound of Pansy getting ready for the day.
"Good morning" I say making her jump.
"Don't do that" she shouts.
"Do what?"
"I thought you were asleep" She says as I laugh at her while getting up. I went to the bathroom and showered, then got changed. Pansy and I decided to go to the great hall for breakfast this morning. None of the boys where there which was nice, as it was quiet. Me and Pansy gossiped while eating. I told her about the muggle world which she seemed quite interested in. After breakfast I went to my first class. It was muggle studies, I wasn't really looking forward to it because I know a lot about muggles already. I walked into the class room, only one seat was empty. Right next to Mattheo Riddle. Great. What's he even doing in this class. I go and sit down next to him. He doesn't say anything which I'm glad about. I don't think I could put up with him right now. "Welcome to muggle studies" The professor says "we will be learning about how muggles communicate. Can anyone tell me how" The class is silent. "Mr Riddle do you know" The professor continues. He clears his throat before speaking "They use phones I believe" "correct" The professor finishes. How does he know so much he hates muggles. The class went on about how the phones work, I just zoned out and was staring out the window for most of it. After class I go back to my dorm as I had a free period. I took out my phone and messaged my friends back as it had been a couple of days. 4 messages from ben 'where are you'
'y/n' 'hello?' 'Fine don't talk to me' I was about to message him back when someone knocked at the door. "Come in" I say as I hide the phone. "What do you want Riddle" This time it's Tom. "I was just seeing if Mattheo was in here"
"Why would he be in here?"
"No reason" He says leaving again 'weird' I thought to myself as I pulled my phone back out to message ben back. 'Im sorry I've been busy' I reply to him. He answers almost immediately, 'doing what' 'just with school work' which was kinda the truth. I hate lying to my friends in the muggle world, but they can't find out where I am.
Later on in the day I had potions again with Hermione. Me and Hermione entered the class and sat down. Today we were learning about the calming draught. As Snape started talking Mattheo came in late like usual. "Mr Riddle sit down and turn to page 213" Mattheo sat next to me again as it was the only seat open. "Work through page 213 and next lesson you will attempt to make the calming draught" Snape said with his back turned to us all. As I read through the page it had the definition of what the potion was 'A potion that calms the user of shock and trauma' I started to answer the questions on the page. "Can I borrow ink" The boy whispered beside me. "Why don't you have yours" I say looking at Mattheo. "Forgot it" he said shrugging. "Mr Riddle and Miss Potter detention after class" Snape shouts.
"What!" I answer back "Do you want to make that 2 detentions Miss Potter" I lean back in my seat while Mattheo is laughing. I kick his foot under the table "What was that for!" He shouts. "Mr Riddle you will be joining Miss Potter tomorrow as well" I laughed at him while he looked annoyed.
