31st December 2022. The last day of this year and it's 11pm already in the clock. I wonder if I could celebrate this new year with Jay. Just like any other year's end day today also Jay went to celebrate in the office because of his boss.
"Ahh!! I need him here badly. Doesn't he love his girlfriend? Let him come today I won't talk to him. Always prioritising work over me!" I was complaining about Jay to myself.
I was feeling thirsty so I walked towards the kitchen to drink water. Just then the light was cut off.
"WHAT THE HECK!?" Uhh!!! My fate was so bad this year.. hope it doesn't follow me in 2023 too. While I thought about it I heard sound of footsteps in the room. I wasn't scared of dark but the thing that scared me was 'what if it's a thief?'
I grabbed the bat which was near me and got ready to fight the person. Even though I had fear in my eyes I had to do something. I slowly followed the footsteps and when they stopped I tightened the hold on bat in my hand.
"YAHHHH!!!!" I yelled as the bat in my hand was ready to hit someone just then the lights came and I stopped the bat in time but the suddenness caused me to stumble and fall back.
"JAY??!!" I closed my eyes as I knew it was too late to save me. As I fell on the ground I didn't feel any pain, I quickly opened my eyes and was surprised to see Jay's face just inches away from mine. Jay was trying to help me but he was too late and he fell too... his hand was under my head protecting it from getting hurt.
I could feel him breathing. He was on top of me and I was lost in his eyes. He was a blushing mess and when he realised about it, he hurriedly stood up and helped me stand. He checked me to see if I was hurt.
"O-Oh I'm sorry about.. uhh.. umm.." He was struggling to say it and was blushing really hard as the scene constantly kept repeating in front of his eyes. I hugged him not wanting to let him go away.
"Don't say anything!" I tightened the hug as he dramatically acted as if he wasn't able to breath.
"What do you think about the room?" He asked as I looked around the room that I forgot to notice at first.
The room had multiple small stars which covered the upper wall as they shined brightly making the room look really beautiful. On the wall there was a poster of Exo which had a meaningful quote written under. I am an Exo-l so I really appreciate this. The room is decorated with blue decorations and I soon found a bouquet of blue roses and under it had a outfit. I looked at Jay with shining eyes as he passed me a smile and closed the door.
The room was exactly as I wished for. I always told him for such a room and he really decorated it for me? He closed the door and I got changed in the new outfit he brought for me.

"You can come in.. how do I look?" I asked Jay as I posed.
"Like a queen. My queen." He replied as I giggled.
"I love you so much." I said as I stood to hug him but he didn't hug back instead he pushed me away lightly.
"But didn't you say that 'you weren't going to talk to me?" He asked in a sarcastic tone. I hit his one shoulder playfully and hugged him again this time he hugged back too.
"I love you too baby." He said pulling out the hug and placing a kiss on my forehead.
"I'm hungry..." I added as he smiled brightly before holding my hand and dragging me towards the balcony.
Even the balcony? My jaw dropped when I looked at the decorations. There were two chairs and all the delicious food was kept on the table. Jay laughed at my state and pulled out a chair for me to sit.
"Thank you my king." I thanked before sitting on the chair.
"But..."
"But what babe?" Jay asked in a concerned tone as he stood beside me checking if something was wrong.
"But then didn't you go to your office for celebration? How did you do this all alone-" He cut me off in between by a sweet kiss that was placed on my lips. Even though we dated for almost 3 years.. we never kissed on lips since both of us were shy so this was technically our both's first kiss. I kissed him back and felt him smiling in between. Soon we broke the kiss gasping for air.
"Don't worry too much when I'm here. Hmm?" Jay said as he sat on the opposite chair. He was confused when he got no response but then when he saw.. you were already eating as hunger took over you. He laughed at how cute you were looking.
"But Jay you need to promise me something." I stated as he looked at me in confusion.
"About what babe?" He asked holding my both hands in his.
"You won't leave me ever." I replied with a little angry pout.
"Never!.. I'm always yours and you're mine." He answered as he kissed my both hands as I looked down to hide my red face.
"Just 1 minute and 2023 will start. Happy New Year!" I greeted as I checked the time in my phone.
"I hope you liked the surprise plan and yes Happy New Year!" He greeted me back staring in my eyes.
This was for sure the best New Year celebration in my life. I hope this year goes nicely for both of us. I looked at Jay and once again smiled.
