The treadmill beeped and began to slow down gradually as my hour timer had ended.

I panted heavily as my treadmill came to a complete stop, sweat lining my forehead and my hairline. I paused the song that was playing on Spotify and pulled my black Beats from my ears to around my neck.

I grabbed my phone and my water bottle and headed to the exit of the sports gym. I stood at the entrance and tried to remember where I had parked my car.

I walked down the car park aimlessly looking for my car when my phone pinged.

From: Imogen

Wyd? 11:05am

I typed a response as I walked.

To: Imogen

Currently looking for where I've parked my car 11:05am

The car park was for a retail park and there were a lot of cars occupying the car park, everyone was out doing their weekly food shop. I'd been looking for my car for five minutes and still couldn't find it, this wasn't the first time this had happened, nor would it be the last.

From: Imogen

Again? 11:08am

I let out a frustrated sigh.

To: Imogen

Again. 11:10am

I confirmed. I turned onto the next parking row and pressed my keys to see my headlights flash twice, I blew out some air. Finally. I walked towards my black Golf and climbed inside.

I began to set up my playlist for my drive home when Imogen replied to my message.

From: Imogen

We're doing some line out practice at 12ish if you wanna join? 11:18am

To: Imogen

Yeah I'll come, text me the details 11:20am

Imogen reacted with a thumbs up to my message and responded a few minutes later with the pitch location where they would be practicing, I took this as my confirmation to set off driving.

I played my music and sang along as I drove to the location that Imogen had sent me. I saw a few of the girls cars parked up on the pavement outside.

I closed my car door and walked over to where some of the girls were stood on the pitch.

"Here comes trouble!" Mia sang, giving me a big grin.

Imogen skipped over to me and flung her arms around me, giving me a big hug.

"I missed ya," She shouted, squeezing hold of me still.

"Imogen, you saw me a few days ago," I laughed. I wasn't an extremely affectionate person and all of my friends and teammates knew that, which is exactly why she was still holding onto me. I gave her somewhat of a hug back.

"Exactly, I've missed my partner in crime," She teased, letting go of me.

I pushed her jokingly, to which I received a shove back. I laughed.

We all grouped together as we waited for Ella to come up with a quick plan for the line outs.

"Were there any sexy boys by the way?" Imogen whispered.

Sexy boys? Where?

"In the car park?" I asked confused, thinking back to our earlier conversation.

She face palmed.
