Cinnamons POV.
10 months before.
I threw the clothes from the honeymoon in the washer and walked into the room to see Letitia laid out on the bed. "You're NO help, Tish." I put my hand on my hip as she groaned loudly. "Baby I'm jet lagged. The fact that your unpacking as soon as we get in is crazy to me." She picked up a pillow and put it over her head.
Damn, I was just trying to be clean but she does have a valid point. I went over to her and straddled her as I laid my head in the crook of her neck. She placed her hand on my lower back as we just laid there. "I hope it's not too early..but I really want a kid." She whispered as I closed my eyes with a smile. A child right now? I personally wouldn't mind it.
"You think if we bump coochies hard enough I'll get pregnant?" I joked causing her to laugh. She pushed me off of her and held her stomach. I'd hate to be serious because one thing about her, she's gonna laugh. "Let's try and see." She said once she finally calmed down. I looked at her as a smirk appeared on her lips. "Baby, I need a good 2 day break." She groaned again and kicked her feet like a child. "Was it the strap on? I told you it was made of vibranium!" She said as I hit her arm and got up being pretty much done with her jokes.
Later that night, I grabbed my laptop and sat on the bed with orange satin pajamas. I don't know if she was serious about the child thing but ever since she said it, I've been thinking about it. I looked up a clinic and set an appointment as Letitia walked out of the bathroom. She grabbed her lotion and sat down on her side of the bed. "Here baby, let me help you." I put down my laptop and sat in between her legs. She smiled handing me the lotion.
"So, were you serious when you said you wanted a kid?" I put some lotion in my hands and began to rub her feet. "I actually was. But whenever you're ready.. I'll be ready babygirl." She said as my heart fluttered. We've been together for almost 2 years and she's always had a way of making me blush like a child. My butterflies are never ending.
"..I set an appointment for Wednesday next week." She gasped and began to cheer from excitement. "We're gonna have a baby?!" I nodded as She got up and began to dance around in her Oscar the grouch pajama pants. I laughed watching her be so happy about it. We're really gonna be parents.
"Oh my gosh, I'm gonna be a mommy." I whispered taking it all in. Am I moving too fast? Are we moving too fast? Letitia came to sit next to me and grabbed my hands. "We are going to be the best parents we can. That child is going to wake up in the morning knowing it has two mommies that absolutely adore and love them and each other." I looked in her eyes as a wave of excitement hit me like the tides in Hawaii. I hugged her tightly as I picked her up. We jumped and screamed in excitement.. not knowing what's to come.
"BITCH YOU'RE GONNA BE A MOTHER!?" Journey screamed as I told her my future plans. She jumped up and down as if she was the one having a baby. "Yes and you will not be babysitting my child." I joked. She scrunched up her face and smacked her lips. "And why the hell not?" I straight faced her and tilted my head.
"You will not be teaching my child hood rat shit. I drop them off and come back, their singing faneto by chief keef." She laughed and picked up a pillow from the couch throwing it at me. I giggled and pointed at her because she knows I'm right. The girl is the true definition of ghetto and honestly that's why I love her.
I heard the door unlock as Tish and Courtney came in. They were laughing and talking as they came over to the couch. "Hey Court." I dapped her up as she sat next to Journey. She kissed her on her forehead which made me smile. I'm so glad that they had the opportunity to meet. They may be opposites but it is true that opposites attract. My thoughts were interrupted by a pair of lips attaching themselves to mine. "Hi, my love." She said softly after the kiss. "Hi sweetheart. How was your day?" I rubbed her head as I looked at those deep brown eyes. "Ahh, it was good. I'm on the tired side but it was still a good day." She said wrapping her arm around my neck.
"Damn you come in and don't say nothing to me, you bald headed demon." Journey joasted as I tried to hold in my laugh. "Courtney, get ya girl." Letitia laughed then looked at me. "Are you laughing and cackling?" I put my hands up in surrender as her hands went down to my waist. We all know exactly what's about to happen. "No no wai-" she began to tickle me as laughter filled the apartment. Life is truly great. Too great.
