I looked at my surrounding... when my eye caught a familiar face who I'd been searching for after I came here, he's here. he doesn't have a partner I guess? 'cause he remain standing there directly looking at me.
I release a fake smile as the shock sinks in while having a heavy feeling in my stomach, I would probably stay rooted in the place if it weren't for Nica's ear-splitting noise in my ear.
"Okay settle in now! sit down both of you!" Nica said for both of us.
I took a glance at him when I feel his stare at me wondering if he has something to say.
while everyone is busy I decided to come up with an excuse to breathe some fresh air even for a minute as I feel I might faint if I didn't.
"hey I think I forgot to lock my car, I'm going outside to check," I whispered in Nica's ear who just nod at me although she looked confused.
I head out, grabbing my handbag as I excuse myself from the guy who's sitting beside me avoiding eye contact because after all these years...

I unlocked the door of my car and then get inside leaving the door open just to release a heavy sigh, I don't think I have the energy to go back in there, but my leaving would just result in confusion on why I suddenly left.
as I closed the door a man in a tall frame walks towards me with a piercing gaze while having his jaw clenched.
