Another Dilemma

Immy sighed and snuggled up to the warm body next to her. As she slowly woke she remembered Seb returning in the middle of the night. She slid her hand up over his bare chest, revelling in the feel of him. She'd missed him so much and he'd only been gone for a couple of days.

"Hey baby," she heard him say. "Good morning." She lifted her head and smiled sleepily at him.

"Hey yourself," she replied. "How did it go with Juliet? How are the girls?" He scowled and she realised that things hadn't gone well.

She pulled herself into a sitting position. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not really," he replied. "You deserve to know though. All I want to do is go and see our son." Immy leant in and kissed him softly, her long brown hair falling over her cheek.

"If that's what you want to do, that's what we will do," she told him, also eager to go to the hospital to see Noah. "We can talk later."

Seb smiled at her in thanks. She swung her legs off of the bed. "I'm gonna go and get some tea and toast before I get dressed. Want any?"

"I'll come and help you."  Immy snuck a peek at him out the corner of her eye as he got out of bed.  He was wearing just his boxers.  She stifled a laugh as he gave a small shriek as the cold air hit him.

"Yeah, I'd put something on if I was you," she said, pulling her fluffy white dressing gown on on top of her blue fleece pyjamas.   Seb grinned and pulled on his joggers and his hoodie.

They made their way out to the kitchen.  Immy filled the kettle up and switched it on.  She then popped some bread into the toaster.  As they were waiting Seb slipped his arms around her from behind, and began nuzzling her neck.

"It's so good to be back with you," he told her. She wondered again what had happened between him and Juliet, but she knew she had to let him tell her in his own time.

"It's good to have you back," she said.   "Noah is doing so well.  He's four pounds nine now."

"It's his Mama's milk! I'm kinda jealous you know. These are his now," he murmured, his hands sliding over Immy's breasts.  She laughed and turned around in his arms.  She pressed her lips to his.

"Temporarily," she told him.   He took the opportunity to kiss her again, his lips moving over hers possessively.   She kissed him back until they heard the toaster pop.  Pulling away from him, Immy took the toast out and dropped it onto two plates.

"Butter? Jam? Marmalade? Marmite?"

"Just butter please baby."   Seb took two mugs out of the cupboard.  He spooned hot chocolate into one and put a tea bag in the other.

Minutes later they were both back in bed eating their toast.

"I was thinking," Seb began, his mouth half full of toast.

"Don't speak with your mouth full," Immy mock chided him.  He grinned and swallowed.

"That better? Yes? Anyway, I was thinking perhaps tonight we could go out for dinner after we leave the hospital."

Immy frowned.  "Isn't that a bit risky? Anyone could see us.  We don't want to end up on social media or in the papers."

"Why not? My parents know.  Juliet knows."

"I...look Seb, I'm just worried about the backlash."

"Backlash?"  He looked confused.  Immy sighed.

"When it gets out about us I'll be the scarlet woman.  The woman you "left" your family for."

"I'd already left Juliet before I even found you again."
