Chapter 1 - New Day New Me!

Abby jumped out of bed. She wasn't late, but was excited for what the day had in store. Today was the first day of highschool! Of course, everyone has to start highschool at some point, but Abby was especially excited because she was going to the same highschool as her friend, Callie! Well, she wasn't Abby's *best* friend, but Callie was all she had. (With the exception of her next door neighbor, Momo.) Callie was quite popular in middle school, so Abby was pretty confused when she came up to her at lunch one day and sat by her. From that day on, they were both attached at the hip, whether Abby liked it or not.

Abby quickly grabbed everything in her closet and spread it around on the floor. "What should I wear?" She thought to herself. It had to be a cute outfit on the first day and then for the rest of the year she could slack off fashion wise. Abby threw on the best outfit she could come up with and ran into the kitchen, where Rosalyn was waiting for her.

"I made breakfast! Eggs and toast, your favorite!" Rosalyn said, gesturing to the neatly curated plate of eggs and toast on the counter. Abby ran up to the eggs and toast and devoured it all. Not even a crumb left on the plate. "Wow, you sure were hungry, Abby." Rosie said, eating some yogurt that she had just grabbed out of the fridge. "I mean, it's the first day of highschool and I'd rather not be starving until lunch rolls around! Gotta eat a bunch now!" Abby says, running over to the bathroom. She flings the door open and immediately starts getting ready. She brushes her short, ginger hair and she puts mascara on. She brushes her teeth, then puts strawberry scented lip-gloss on. Abby knew the lip-gloss wouldn't last. She would just lick it all off her lips, but it was a nice touch.

Minutes later, Abby ran out the front door. She was quite eager to start the new school year, but as soon as she started walking, her next door neighbor, Momo, walked out of her house.

"Momo!" Abby exclaimed, running up to Momo. Momo looked frightened. She looked over to Abby. "Oh! Hi Abby." Momo smiled slightly.
