Beginnings in the end

Waiting anxiously in the living room of the out post I identify my name being called by Langdon through the roaring in my ears. Unable to comprehend how I can stand on such unstable legs I rise and walk to stand infront of positively one of the most intriguing and intimidating men I've ever met, whom is now smirking in a very concerning way, as if sensing my nerves and being pleased with them. After a beat of silence and that seemingly sadistic smirk he speaks calm and pointedly, saying a single word "Come". He turns on his heels before he gets the full word out, leaving me a few feet away by the time I turn his words over in my head. As I nearly speed walk to catch up with his tall form and long, confident strides I hear the practical whisper of a question, considering he is a notable distance in front of me. Straining to hear his words "What was that, Mr. Langdon?" I ask innocently not nearly ready for the possibly offended reaction to my request of reiteration, he stops in his tracks and before I can realize his screeching halt I had already slammed into his back. Now on the floor I look up to see Mr. Langdon staring down at me. "Now what business would you have on the ground Ms. Fane?" Thinking I heard a hint of humor in his voice I let out a slight laugh, which he returned in a clipped and once again sadistic sort of way, as if he's laughing at me rather than his attempt at a joke. He then turns and walks the short distance to his temporary office, leaving me to help myself up. Once I make my way into his office as well I see he is not at the desk where he should be, then I look around the rest of the exquisite and fireplace lit room and see he is no where to be found. Turning at the sound of the large double barn doors shutting just in time to see the masterfully elegant man before me intertwine his ring clad fingers behind his back, turn, and take agonizingly slow, calculated steps toward me. Mesmerized by the intensity in his gaze I feel I only have the choice to stare just as well. When he reaches me at a foots length between us he only stares until he finally, simply  says "Sit". Standing there only a moment enthralled by his radiating energy as a confident, good looking man, I turn to sit in the seat opposite the head of his desk, he follows soon after sitting before me, filling the thrown like chair nicely. Having him preceding me now, closer to the open flame I can better see his long blond hair, chiseled features, sleek all black suit and the almost glowing red between the bridge of his nose and corner of his eyes on either side, curious little spots I never got a good look at until now. Interrupting my inquisitive thoughts with an opening statement to our interview he says "So, Elizabeth Fane. Tell me about yourself". "What do you want to hear?" I reply. "Everything." He says with a bold smirk playing on his lips.
