Part 15: Operation Cupid

Carmen: here's my plan. I'm going to tell Val and soap that they're done for the day. That's step 1. Ok? Step 2... I tell them you and I are going to the lake to cool off since we're bored. That's bound to get their interest. Step 3. You go to my room and in my closet is a few drawers. Find some swimming trunks and put them on. I'm going to look through the bathroom to see if I can find tanning oil. Trust me that part is important. No oil? No plan. Step 4. I'm going to oil you up make you look all fine or whatever and then I'm going to make myself look nice so we can look like the ultimate duo. Got it?

Ghost: I think I get it but why oil?

Carmen: lotion dries but oil stays. Oil also makes the water drip in a certain way since oil is hydrophobic. It makes you look even hotter. Trust me. I've been doing this for awhile

Ghost: alright.

Carmen: alright I'll go tell them they're done and you get dressed. Operation Cupid is a go!

I ran over to Val and soap they stopped and put down the boxes they were carrying. God every time I see Val my breath just stops.

Valeria: Carmen? Carmen!

Carmen: oh! yeah! Sorry.

Valeria: did you need something?

Carmen: yeah yo- I mean... captain said that you guys are done for the day and me and Ghost are going to the lake if you guys wanna come you can.

Soap: why are you two going to the lake together? Alone at that?

Carmen: we're going since we're bored and we won't be alone if you guys come. Anywayssss gotta go get ready!

I quickly walked into the house and went to my room. I saw Ghost standing awkwardly in a pair of swim shorts.

Carmen: those look great! Really bring out your ass! Let me get the oil.

I went to my bathroom and tried to scavenge my cabinets for tanning oil. I found five different sunscreens but still no oil. Ha! Found it! It was behind the pipes.

Carmen: alright come here.

I squeezed some oil into my hands and started rubbing it on his body. He was stiff. Like very stiff.

Ghost: do you not find it weird your oiling up a random guy in your bedroom?

Carmen: not really. I'm just helping out my bestie get his boyfriend.

Ghost: ok but what if they walk in?

Carmen: I'm sure they're not going to walk I-

Valeria: Carmen? What are you doing?

Carmen: oh! Hey Val! I'm just putting some oil on Ghosts back so he doesn't burn y'know.

Valeria: are you lying to me?

Carmen: Ofcourse not Val! I don't even like men! I'm just helping him with his love life.

Valeria: like with soap?

Ghost: are we that obvious?

Carmen: you guys flirt like allll the time! And in Las Almas I nearly puked because of you guys flirting, but now that I'm looking back at it, it might've been my wound that was making me feel nauseous.

I finished oiling him up and walked to my bathroom to put my own bathing suit on. Ooh Val's gonna love this! I threw a black mesh cover up on and put some waterproof mascara on my lashes. Damn! I need to dress up more often. Usually I'm covered in dirt or sweat from all of the hard missions I do, but right now, I look hot!

When I came out I saw Val and Ghost sitting on the bed having a small convo. Val looked up at me and I swear I saw a look flash before her eyes. I knew she would like it.

Val: mi amor... that bathing suit really brings out your skin.

Carmen: thank you! Alright let's get going. Val I have a few swimsuits in my closet if you wanna join.

I walked out with ghost and when we walked out into the living room I heard a glass shatter from the kitchen. Ghost and I both looked over to soap who had his jaw dropped and his eyes wide. His hand was cupped like he was holding an invisible glass and he finally connected to reality.

Rudy: ah. Hermano... you ok?

Soap: ye-yeah I'm fine! Let me help clean that!

Carmen*whispering* I think my plan is working.

I walked to the kitchen and saw Rudy with a tray of pina coladas.

Carmen: Rudy. Those better be spiked.

Rudy: don't worry they are.

Carmen: good. I'm going to see how many it takes for me to get Val in my bedroom.

Rudy: eww gross I don't want to know that.

Carmen: yeah like you and Alejandro weren't sucking eachothers faces earlier.

Rudy: that's not fair!

Carmen: it is totally fair Ru! He didn't even ask my blessing!

Rudy: you've been trying to get us together for years! I don't think you need a blessing Hermana.

Carmen: look. I know a good relationship when I see one, but he still should've asked! What if I developed feelings for you and I didn't want you to be with Alejandro?

Rudy: you're literally a lesbian Carmen.

Carmen: fair point. But still!

Soap: what the fuck was that whole argument? Also congrats Hermano for getting with Alejandro!

Carmen: yeah now it's yours and Ghosts turn.

Soap: what?! I don't like Ghost! what do you mean?

Carmen: Denial is a river in Egypt.

Soap: ok fine maybe I like him a little, but I don't know if he likes me.

Carmen: a little Birdy told me he does.

Soap: you talk to birds?

Carmen: yeah. I'm a Disney princess.

Soap: wow! That's cool! So do you think I could make a move at the lake?

Carmen: you definitely should!

Soap: alright well I'm going to go change do you have any swim shorts Hermano?

Carmen: I do in my closet! Knock before you go in though Val's in there.

Soap: alright! Thanks Hermana!

Carmen: anytime soap!
