Robin Arellano x Reader !
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I was taking a late night walk, planning to surprise my boyfriend, Robin, with a visit. The only lights illuminating the sidewalk were the dim streetlights that were planted quite a bit away from one another. Once I finally got to Robin's house, I noticed how all of the shades were drawn down tight. Though, one of the windows emitted a bright light that lit up the street. I could make out two silhouettes within the walls of the tiny home. I identified one to be Robin, my boyfriend. From what I could tell, the girl he was with had a beautiful body. Perfect curves complimenting her hourglass figure.
He wrapped his arm around her waist gingerly, as if she were some sort of fragile vase. He held her firm within his grasp. He leaned in, their lips slightly parted as he inched closer. Mere centimeters away, he smashed his lips onto hers, she quickly copied his actions as she brought her hands up to caress his face. She slowly moved her hands to his hair, gently stroking it despite their rough and passionate kiss. While I watched, a lump formed in my throat imagining how she must have felt at that very moment. I could practically taste his lips on mine, but I knew it was all just a part of my imagination. My eyes welled with tears as I sat there on the dark street. I was frozen, the cold wind nipped at my body, but the only thing that froze me was the sight before me. Tears began to stream down my red-tinted cheeks, I couldn't believe it.
At that moment, a part of me wondered, was it my fault? What if I had gone at a different time? Maybe if I had done this or that, maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't have decided to cheat on me. Then, another part of me wanted to console myself, tell myself everything was a part of my imagination. But I knew, more than anything, that wasn't a mistake, this was real life and Robin Arellano was cheating on me right now.
My sadness was quickly replaced with anger. How could he do this to me? And on our one year anniversary too. I rushed across the street. Jumping up onto his doorstep, I rang his doorbell. Tapping my foot to the beat of the song playing loudly within the walls of their cozy home. The door opens slowly to reveal two complete strangers, the anger flushed from my face in an instant. "Who are you?"
They sneered, obviously upset at me interrupting what they had been doing. "I-"
I stuttered, struggling to explain my presence. "You got the wrong block or something?"
They both seethed, angrily slamming the door before I could reply.I rushed down the block with a feeling of pure euphoria on my face, it felt like I was flying with how fast I ran, every step felt like a weight was being lifted from my shoulders. I had never loved Robin more in that very second. I felt tears spring to my eyes, but they weren't tears like before, I was happy, so, so happy. The pep in my step was unimaginable, I practically skipped down the street with glee written on my face. I was beyond joyful, finding out that Robin wasn't cheating on me.
The second I got to Robin's house, I rang the doorbell about a million times. Once he finally answered, I jumped onto him. He was groggy, looking as if he had just been woken up. He was caught by utter surprise as soon as he felt my touch, I hugged him tightly, tears wallow in my eyes before falling onto his shoulder. "Hey, what's wrong?"
He asked me. I look up at him, smiling. "I love you."
It was the first time I had told him. He stared at me in silence, a stunned look on his face as he did so. "I love you too- Where's this coming from?"
He asks me, confusion overtaking his features. I didn't respond, I just buried my face in his shoulder once more. At that moment, I promised myself, we would be silhouettes in the shade. All of our days together, we would be silhouettes in the shade.
