The day of the link brought together every year the "normis" and the students of the academy of Nevermore. Xavier hates this day, reminding him of bad memories, remembering that in a few minutes everything is collapsed, faced with the stupidity and wickedness of normis.

"What is your mission?" asked Ajax

"Weathervane, can we switch?"

"No way. It's just one day, man, you can do it," said Ajax as he walked away.

Xavier sighed and got on the bus. Wednesday came to see him with the same subject on his lips, Rowen. The day weighed on Xavier who took on him with Tyler. Taking orders from him was hard, he wanted to yell a lot of things in his face, or slap him. After a new face-to-face with Wednesday, Xavier plunged back into his task: clean, clean, serve. The bell of the front door sounds, a new customer. Most certainly a normis who would look at him strangely because he is a marginal.

"I'd like a nutty coffee with a touch of cinnamon." said a female voice he could never forget.

Xavier froze briefly before turning around. She was there, standing in the frame of the door, her long plum-purple hair framing her face, her beautiful green eyes shone as she looked at him.

"Kat," Xavier said in shock.

"I thought it was you from behind." she smiled as she approached.

Xavier didn't make himself pray and embraced her, clasping her against him, inspiring her eternal perfume, his fingers losing in her hair. She didn't move at first, before passing her arms around Xavier's waist. He almost had tears in his eyes to see her after so much time, and what had happened the last time they were together.

"You haven't changed," Katsa said, coming away from him.

"I take that as a compliment. And you are still... beautiful," said Xavier, embarrassed, not knowing if he still had the right to say that.

Katsa smiled at him, a smile that Xavier had missed, he had dated Bianca, but it was not the same, they did not have the same relationship that he had with Katsa. He saw her stretching when Tyler appeared.

"Don't worry, he won't hurt you. He's been punished, and I think he regrets it," Xavier said, putting a hand on Katsa's shoulder.

"Hmmm"

"Kat' looks at me," Xavier said.

Gently, she obeys dipping into the green eyes of her former comrade. A look she missed so much during those horrible weeks in the hospital and then in a nursing home with a therapist.

"Do you trust me?" Xavier said.

"Yes."

"He won't do anything to you, or I'll personally take care of his case." Xavier smiles, pressing Katsa's hand.

"What a pleasant surprise! Mademoiselle Gaines!" Weems exclaimed as she entered the café.

"Madam Director" greeted the person concerned.

"I never thought I'd see you around here again."

'I didn't think I would come back too. But my mother has an investigation in the area, and didn't want to leave me alone. I was forced to follow her, she dropped me off here for a few hours." explained Katsa.

"Let's sit down for a coffee. I'd like to hear from you." Weems smiles.

Katsa glanced at Xavier before following the director to an open table. Xavier served them, his heart beating to see again the woman who had capsized his heart, who always supported and believed in him.

"Your departure was a heartbreaking experience for many at school." said Nevermore's principal.

Katsa couldn't help but look at Xavier. She had so many times thought about calling him or just sending him a message, but never resolved to do so.

"Mr Thorpe indeed but also your roommate..."

"Divina."

"Correct. Have you seen the publications that were made about you by Enid Sinclair?"

"Yes. She was talking about me leaving and how some students felt about it. His comments to her about the behavior of some such as Xavier... and the kinds of calls that I give sign of life. But... but I couldn't do it..."

"This is normal after the attack you were subjected to. Apart from Xavier, have you seen other comrades?"

"No, I just got here. I saw some uniforms without recognizing the students."

"I think Divina would be happy to see you. Join us at the ceremony at 2 p.m." Weems told him where her former roommate was.

Katsa finished her coffee smiling smelling of cinnamon, Xavier was the only one who knew how to make this coffee to perfection. A girl in black Nevermore's uniform entered the café. Xavier spoke with her, if this exchange could be considered a discussion. Then the brunette spoke with Tyler, which gave Katsa chills.

"Xavier, who is this girl?"

"Wednesday Addams, the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams. You don't get bored with her."

"I see that, and then it seems tense between you two."

"No, it's just that I warned her to stay away from Tyler, but she's not listening."

Katsa smiled at her before leaving the café in search of Divina, deep down, Katsa was dying to see her old friend.

"Hello, can I help you?" asked the manager

"Surely I am looking for Divina, a pupil of Nevermore who helps you for the day."

"Don't bother with a marginal, I can help you."

"I prefer to deal with one of my own," Katsa said, raising an eyebrow.

The woman growled before disappearing into the back room. A few minutes later, Divina appeared.

"Katsa?! Is it really you?!" exclaimed the unbelieving mermaid.

"Yes, I've changed so much?" Katsa joked.

Divina embraced her, shocked and happy to see her. Katsa gave her back her embrace, the overwhelming joy of seeing her friend again.

"Are you coming back to Nevermore?" asked Divina.

"No, my mom has an investigation in the area. She didn't want me to come to the exact location, so she dropped me here."

"Did you see..."

"Xavier, yes. I think he was more shocked than I was" laughed Katsa "Weems invited me to the ceremony we may see again there. I don't want to keep you too long, the boss looks at us."

"Okay... it was nice to see you again."

Katsa smiles at him before going out and wandering around town.
