I looked at the time again and it was way past midnight but I still couldn't sleep so without thinking too hard about it, I took my phone and walked out of my room.
Kim's POV
I woke up in the middle of the night to my doorbell ringing. I sighed and got up from the couch heading to the door.
"What?!" I yelled. Who is even disturbing my sleep? I looked through the peephole before opening. I gasped when I saw Lorena. I quickly opened the door. "Lorena?" I asked in disbelief.
"Hi Kimberly, I'm really sorry for disturbing you at this time."
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Do you mind if I sleep in that room again?" I gave her a confused look. "The room I slept in last night."
"Yeah I know which room but why? What's going on? Are you okay?" She shrugged but didn't respond. I sighed. "Come in." I said but I was still confused.
"Thanks." She walked in and closed the door. I walked to the couch to grab my remote. "You were still up?" She asked noticing the TV still on.
"Um no, I fell asleep on the couch." I said turning it off. "You still remember which room right?" She nodded.
"Yeah. I will take a shower first though." I nodded.
"Suit yourself, I'm going to bed. Goodnight."
"Goodnight Kimberly."

The next morning I woke up running late for work. I tried looking for Lorena thinking she was also still asleep but the room was empty so I decided to get ready for work instead. It was a good thing I lived five minutes away from work but the morning traffic was always a bitch. So I was a few minutes late and that annoyed me.
"Kim!" I looked at Penny on the other side of the loft waving happily. I smiled at her politely and she came rushing. "Hey" I walked to the elevator and pressed the up button.
"Hey. How are you doing?"
"I'm doing great, how was your weekend?" She smiled.
"Umm, interesting." I chuckled.
"Ooh you are definitely telling me all about it on our lunch break." She said cheerfully.
"There's honestly nothing to tell." The elevator opened. "Okay I'll see you later, gotta go."
"Later."
Lorena's POV
"Let me get to it." Bethany said taking the file.
"Thanks." I said and she walked out. I turned my chair around and looked at the busy city. I could see almost the whole city from my new office. It was almost noon and I remembered that my parents' jet would be taking off in a few minutes.
I hadn't seen them since yesterday. I contemplated on weather to call my father or not. I heard a knock on the door and it disturbed me. The person opened and I saw my brother. I immediately smiled and he did the same.
"Hey little one." I chuckled before going to him to give him a hug.
"I promise I'll pay you to stop calling me that." He laughed kissing my forehead.
"No thank you. The nickname is not going away." I let out a chuckle again.
"What a nice surprise." I said sitting down.
"I had to come to check on you. Father said you'd probably be here." I nodded. "How are you holding up?"
"I was actually thinking about calling father to wish them a safe trip. I haven't seen him since yesterday." I sighed.
