When Mikael had gotten out of the plane, he hadn't expected even a bit of what turned up. They landed on the Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires at six in the morning. They had expected a calm quite city. Well, it was. Six wasn't exactly a time when Argentines woke up. With very people on the road, Rick announced, "We are going to see the Obelisk."

"It is funny how we are going out sightseeing as we stop at every single layover place, with an apocalypse on the horizon." Ishaan said, removing his jacket in the BA summer heat.

"You know, if we survive, we would tell the tales to our future generations." Rick said, "Come on." And so, they followed him. The Obelisk was far away from the airport, and with barely two hours at hand, the travel to the monument took forty five minutes. Yes. Argentina was bigger than UAE and Morocco. "We have just an hour and forty five minutes left before we get back to the flight." Ishaan said. Mikael could see that he was scared about how the last excursions had gone on.

"Hey, look." Rick said, as their taxi approached the Obelisk, "We will reach here in a few seconds. Its a quiet Buenos Aires morning. We will see the Obelisk, maybe click a few images, and leave. Maximum fifteen minutes there, and then, forty five more to return. Simple."

Mikael looked outside, and what he saw under the Obelisk simply made a hole through his heart. The monument's bottom was surrounded by people. So many that the part was barely visible. "There goes your quiet Buenos Aires morning." Mikael pointed towards the crowd.

"That is uncommon." The taxi driver said, in Spanish, that Rick translated, "We barely have crowd at this time."

"Sounds fishy." Mikael said, "Should we go through?"

"It would be smart to let the cab go." Rick said, "We better check this crowd out."

"Why?" Ishaan asked, "Why not turn away?"

"Rishi wouldn't be proud of that."

So, they got down. They walked close, and realized that it would have really been wise to turn away. Those were not people in the crowd. They were zombies. The draugr. The undead. Their faces were vile and bony. Red glowing eyes, small sized fangs covered their mouths, that had no lips. Their skin was the colour of old dry wood, and their faces, other than the fangs and the glowing eyes, were that of skeletons. Each of them held swords in their bony fingers. And they were each at least six to seven feet tall. "See why I said?" Ishaan said.

"We can take this lot, guys, come on." Rick said, confidently. A little too much, given they were in hundreds. Rick drew the rune of air, and spread his arms at the draugr. But it seemed like the draugr felt nothing. They kept snarling and growling like before. Mikael conjured icicles right from under the feat, trying to freeze them down, but nothing happened. "No way to get through them through powers." Rick said, "What are these made of?"

"A draugr's immunity increases with time. They tend to get immune to the harsh forms of the natural conditions they live around." Mik informed.

"Does that mean that they'll never die?"

"They will. We have to take them hands on."

"You know what?" Ishaan said, "We'll fly away."

"We can't." Mikael announced, as his memories of his father's stories of draugr came back to him, bit by bit, "Given the amount of strength they have, they'll throw their swords and hit us at one go. We can only outrun them for so long. So, basically, we're toast."

"Nope." Rick said, conjuring three big rifles with the rune of necessity, "I won't die this close to Vespasa. Aim and shoot. These are very unnatural guns. They don't recoil." He handed one rifle each to Mikael and Ishaan. Mikael and Ishaan prepared to shoot, as the draugr walked towards them, snarling.

Mikael shot down one draugr, who turned to purple smoke. Despite having shot a rifle, he felt no pressure on his body. The gun was actually recoil-free. He kept on shooting, while keeping an eye on Ishaan. Ishaan was shooting much more efficiently, aiming and blasting off their brains. Rick was on holding two guns now, and shooting at two draugar. However, their number was huge, and soon, they got surrounded. "These guys are very smart for draugar." Mik exclaimed.

"Guys, don't stop shooting." Rick ordered.

At that moment, two people appeared on the street. One of them was a woman, who seemed to be from around here. The other one, a guy, whose facial features begged to differ to be local. The girl had olive skin, burgundy hair and amber eyes. She had a weird sense of fierceness in her, as if she would kill a person and wouldn't feel sad about it. As Mikael shot one draugr down and saw little hope of getting out of here, the boy from behind spoke in English, "Stand down, I said."

The draugr stopped in their tracks, and turned. Did Mikael see it correct? The guy had some sort of pink aura around him. His fair skin and blue eyes had a weird strength of affection on it. He pulled out a little rod from his pocket, and said to the girl, "What are they?" The girl signaled that she had no idea. The draugar got over the surprise, and snarled. And they attacked again. The guy closed his eyes, before the aura around him intensified. He levitated up in the air, before opening his eyes. Ball-less red glowing eyes, that easily beat the eyes of the draugar. "I said," His voice changed completely, "Stand down!" The draugar stopped completely, and stood watching like simple puppets. Over his head, Mikael saw the morning sky covered by a big shadow. Hati was watching the show. "My girlfriend here will start doing something to you." The guy's voice seemed like that of two people now, "Stay put, do not scream, and let her do her work. I compel you." The girl beside took out a rod, before pressing a button on it. The rod turned into a machete. She walked towards the draugar, and steadily chopped all seventy of them into pieces, without losing breath or dropping sweat, within minutes. As the draugar diminished into mere smoke, Rick looked up, his vision stuck at Hati. "The sky looks weird." The guy said, getting back to his original form.

"Nope." Rick said, "Just a loser watching himself lose again."

"Who are you?" Mikael asked at the two very interesting strangers, who spoke English in the heart of the Argentine capital.

"We are demigods, from Atlantis. What were those creatures? I've never seen them before."

"Atlantis!" Rick's hand struck his head, "From underwater?"

"Mermaids!" Ishaan added, still surprised. Mikael made a sound of 'I'm done with these'.

"Oh no no. Atlantis is an over-sea island now. It's not underwater anymore. How did you see these creatures and not know of Atlantis."

"Please tell me you are Greek?" Rick said.

"Well, its complicated. I'm Indian, and Delilah here," to that, the girl waved her hand, "is Bolivian. But yeah, we are half-Greek."

"Well, we are fully Indians. And we are not Greek related, but rather Norse related."
