C h a p t e r N i n e- Calvary Battle

The randomizer spun once again and landed on " Calvary Battle"

All of the remaining students including me listened to her instructions.

She gave us 15 minutes to create our teams of 2-4 people.

People crowded around me since I was fourth. There was one person I had to have on my team. The most compatible person for my quirk.

I walked up to Todoroki. " Hey, I'd like to join your team." His attention was now on me. " With your ice quirk I won't have to worry about a limit. Meaning I can use my quick as much as I want."

" Alright."

Momo and Iida were also on the team. This was perfect.

The alarm signaled the end of our 15 minute timer.

We stood in a diamond formation as Todoroki began explaining, " I chose the three of you because I believe we'll make for the most stable formation possible. Akari's our right wing. She can use her quirk to keep enemies at bay. Yaoyorozu, you'll take the left wing. Focus on insulation and defense. Iida, you'll take the front. We'll rely on you for mobility and physical defense."

" And you'll be attacking and creating diversions of ice and fire. Is that right?" Iida asked.

" Not quite," Totoroki started, "When I'm in battle...I never use my left side."

We continued to discuss strategies.  Momo made us rollerblades so Iida could use his quirk without us getting in the way. Since I was so short compare to everyone else Momo made mine taller so we wouldn't be lopsided.

We all gathered into formation and President Mic began a final countdown. " Three! Two! One!"

" Begin," Midnight exclaimed. 

Everyone raced towards Midoriya team, but we stayed more on the down low waiting for the perfect opportunity to arise.

After a couple of minutes I saw Bakugo fuming some distance away. I noticed his headband was gone. Probly best to stay away from him.

When Midoriya's team was isolated from everyone else we took our chance. Our teams were about ten feet away.

" I'll be taking that, now," Totoroki said with determination.

" I didn't think this confrontation would happen until later in the contest. He seems you have it out for you, Midoriya," I overheard Tokoyami.

" The games only halfway over. We can't stop now!" Midoriya exclaimed.

" Now, Iida. Forward!" Todoroki demanded.

" Right!" Iida responded.

" Yaoyorozu. Be ready to protect us"

" On it"

" Akari"

" Don't worry. I know what I gotta do," I say with a smirk. Other teams were also closing in the Midoriya's team. " Momo, I hope you made something strong enough!" She wrapped my teammates in an electricity blocker blanket. I let out a surge of 1.5 million volts to everyone around us. When they were stunned Totoroki took the opportunity and froze them all in place and took their headbands.

Yes!!!!

" Totoroki," I exclaim.

" Right," He says understanding my intentions. He grabs my shoulder with his right hand and cools me down. I wasn't at a dangerous level, but we don't know how future events will play out so it was better safe than sorry.

We were now charging at Midoriya's team. Tokoyami sent dark shadow at us and Momo created a small wall just enough to block him.

They were now isolated with nowhere left to run since Todoroki created an ice wall.

As we inch forward Midoriya yelled, "Stay back" and dark shadow got into a defensive position.

" Everyone. We have less than 60 seconds. I'm gonna do something that'll make me useless to you. But it's worth it."

We all gasped.

" What are you going to do," Totoroki said almost concerned.

" Make sure you get that headband. Brace yourselves. Hold on tight!" We were then shot forward and I quickly hardened my grip on Iida. I didn't realize what happened until we were past them and stopped.

No way....That was... AMAZING!!! My mouth was hung open still trying to process the situation.

" Iida. What was that?" Totoroki said shocked.

" Forced my torque and RPM into overdrive, which gave me explosive power! Unfortunately, the recoil stalls my engines for a while. It's a secret move I've been saving. No one in the class knew about it. I told you Midoriya...that I'd do my best to beat you."

" Iida...that was amazing!" I cheered. " Now! My turn!"

The rollerblades Momo created for me could also be run by electricity. I wanted to make sure we had a backup if something happened to Iida. I grabbed the wire and stuck it in my mouth.

Midoriya's team was now rushing for us. A smirk played with my lips. I saw how dark shadow reacted to my electricity. I could use it to my advantage.

Something was different with Midoriya's arm. Todoroki used his left arm to block. I felt a gust of wind for a moment. Midoriya reached forward and grabbed the top band as they flew past us.

"That's it. I did it!"

The crowd cheered and I heard we had 11 seconds over the intercom.

" We mixed up the headbands up. There's no way we'd leave the prize on top. You underestimate us," Momo stated.

" Todoroki, better watch yourself. That was too close,"Iida said.

" Oh no! Team Midoriya didn't get the ten million points after all!" President Mic yelled. " The game is almost over. Time for a countdown!"

" Tokoyami!" Midoriya yelled and dark shadow threw itself at us.

I shot my hand out electricity shot out of my at it. Suddenly Bakugo broke through the ice and was headed straight for us. Both teams were now aimed at us. Since Iida's engines were stalled our movement now relied on me. I gave power to the rollerblades and tapped my heels together so the button for reverse was activated and we were shot backwards.

" Times up!!"

Everyone suddenly froze and Bakugo fell to the ground.

" And with that the second round is officially over!"

Todoroki hopped off of us.

" Now let's take a look at who our top four teams are! In first place, Team Todoroki!

" We ended in first place, but it was too close for comfort." Momo exclaimed.

" I'm sorry. I let everyone down, didn't I?"

" Iida, don't you dare say that. Your the only reason we won," I say with a stern tone.

" She's right. Thank goodness for that special move of yours."

" I'm second place, Team Bakugo!" President Mic announced.

I looked over at Bakugo and he was shaking with anger. He suddenly let out a scream of rage making me jump.

" In third place is Testute—Wait,what? It's Team Shinso? When did they come back from the dead?"

It's that guy from earlier who was blocking our classroom.

" And in fourth place is Team Midoriya! These four valiant teams will advance on to the final round. Now let's take an hour lunch break before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya soon! Hey Eraserhead, let's grab some food."

" I'm taking a nap," Aizawa responded.
