it had been 2 weeks of recovery at home, about 3 since the accident. hyungwon returned to work a week ago, since he was allowed to make his own schedule he was able to be gone for a couple hours and be back in time to help her.

nari on the other hand was staying at home and overall frustrated she hadn't gotten the go ahead from her doctors to go back to work. it was torture. she hated staying put and being
left with her thoughts drover her insane. so she resulted in working from home, helping out the best she could remotely.

currently she was walking back and forth slowly, it was mandatory, to help her heel . something about blood flow, honestly she didn't pay much attention, but anything to make her feel better. she had her phone pressed to her ear, "this is unfair, i don't need to lift anything. why do you get to work and i don't?" she asks.

jungwoo chuckles on the other line, "you were injured worse than i was. you needed surgery i only have a broken leg and needed a couple of stitches here and there."

she sighs, "this is what i get for being nice and letting you sit in the passenger seat."

"hey i feel bad about it already." his voice changes not to their usual playful tone. he genuinely felt bad that nari ended up slightly worse than him.

"i'm just teasing jungwoo." she sighs again. "i don't blame anyone. i just want to go back to work. a broken leg seems so much better than what i'm going through."

"just talk to your doctor today. explain that your job isn't that strenuous. you sit at a desk most of the time and he'll probably give you the okay."

"maybe. i'll just lie." she says knowing she couldn't do that, especially since hyungwon accompanied her to her appointments.

"why don't you just enjoy this time off and relax, you're not in that much of pain anymore." he proposes.

she lets out a groan, "you don't understand how boring it is. i couldn't even help decorate for the holidays. my boyfriend wouldn't let me lift anything. not even an ornament without him telling me to take it easy. i had to have his mother help me wrap the gifts for me because i physically couldn't. i am impulse buying everything on the internet. like who buys pink pots and pans when you already have regular ones?"

"yeah maybe we should confiscate your credit card nari," jungwoo teases. "like i said just talk to your doctor. i doubt he'll say no at the most he'll say wait till the following week."

"four weeks jungwoo!" she groans, "i have been in a hospital for four almost five days, then i've been in my apartment for two weeks! i can't even fathom this for another week that'll be a month total. i'll go insane."

he chuckles, "nari just ask. look my lunch is ending, i hope you have a good appointment. manifesting i'll see you at work next week."

"thanks, jungwoo. try to have a good rest of your day at work."

"i'll try," he says before hanging up the line.

she sighs putting her phone on the couch and walking again. she had changed into some sweat pants and a crew neck sweater. she still struggled a bit with it but she wanted to start being more independent. she knew she wasn't perfectly healed yet and some movements like moving her arms over her head and bending down were too painful.

"babe?" hyungwon says as she hears the apartment door close.

"living room." she responds back as she stands bye the window.

he walks into the living room. instantly he noticed she put on makeup today. which he hadn't seen in a while. she also styled her hair. it all looked so effortless. "you look so beautiful," he says placing his bag on the couch admiring her. she had a different glow to her today. lately she's been down, not being able to leave the apartment. he had been telling her how beautiful she was everyday, but today she just seemed a step closer to being more like herself.
