Niall POV.
I blinked at the brightness of my room. Flipping over on the bed I looked at the clock on the night stand, it read 10:13 on a Saturday. Molly leaves today, I thought sighing. Was she still here? Did she already leave? I need to tell her. I need to say goodbye. I quickly pulled a clean t-shirt over my head and new pants, then I slipped on my shoes and ran out the door. I ran through the living area, no one was there. I ran over to Molly's door and knocked. Nothing. I waited a few seconds before knocking again. Nothing, no footsteps, nothing.
I sprinted down to the lobby just in time to see her checking out.
"Molly!" I shouted running over to her.
"Niall. No...I-I I can't...." She said to me once I reached her
"Can't what?" I asked confused.
"I can't do this!" She said throwing her hands up.
"Do what?" I asked still confused.
"You made me a promise, Niall." She said quietly, tears welling up in her eyes. Her normally blue-grey eyes where dark with emotion. "and you broke it."
"What do you mean?" I asked once again, still confused.
"You promised you would come to the championship game on Thursday! You promised we would go out to eat afterwards! Oh, and We won by the way." She said, picking up her bags to leave.
Game? What game? Wait, park, her softball. She had her softball game. Oh no, I did promise her that. Why do I have to have such a bad memory for these things?
"I forgot, Molly. I'm sorry." I said grabbing her arm. She spun around and took two steps towards me, so we were inches apart. I could clearly see the tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Sorry is not going to cut it Niall! You made a promise and broke it! I stood there looking for you, I waited for you. I waited for someone who never came, who never cared. I waited for something that was never going to happen." Molly said angrily, getting quieter as she went tears still streaming down her face.
"I told you I forgot." I said once again.
"Really? it didn't look like you forgot to hang out with Demi! Stop lying Niall, I saw you two! You were holding hands!" She sobbed.
"So what! Maybe we were hanging out, maybe I did hold her hand when we crossed the street! Why would it matter to you?" I said loudly, getting angry. She just started crying harder.
"Oh, no. Molly, stop crying. Come here. I'm sorry for yelling. Just stop crying. Please. I'm sorry." I said trying to hug her. "I was just frustrated."
"No, leave me alone. I'm going to miss my bus. So j-just stop" She said hitting my arms away.
"Wait...Molly I need to tell you something." I said to her as she started to turn away.
" I am done waiting. I already waited." She said walking away and climbing onto the bus.
I sank down onto a bench as I watched the bus slowly drive out of sight.
