She was piloting a Quinjet, expertise from all of the times she had to drive one for the team. She was monitoring the aircraft's instruments with care, as her fingers pointed at an area of the instrument she was glancing at. The heat signal was growing stronger, though it didn't show her any specifics. She raised a brow, trying to think of a reasonable excuse as to why they had sent her to this mission apart from being ordered to do so. Though it was not like she minded either way, it gave her time to herself.

Though she tried not to get distracted, glancing to the outside to be able to see her objective. It was short of a miracle that she could see smoke through the dense snow. Her eyes narrowed slightly, her sight going from the instrument to the smoke ever so often. She smirked, her hand moving from the display and to the communicator in her right ear. She had found whatever it was that they wanted. Being told just to observe was very unusual for her. Her usual orders were more close to assassination or destruction operations. It was a nice change for her.

"Found it" She said, her hands operating the Quijet with expertise. She was already near the object that needed to be analyzed. The mission provided didn’t tell her about the object in question, at least nothing more than what she knew about the unidentified object. She never asks any questions, it was her policy. She knew that the only thing that she had to do was document whatever this may be and get out. She did not had to retrieve, just observe. "Landing now"

"Remember, we're getting some very odd readings off it" She heard, the male voice resounding through her earpiece. She rolled her eyes a bit, as she landed the Quinjet just a couple of feet apart from the crater. She put on a blue winter hoodie, to protect her from the cold. The hatch opened slowly, a hand moving to the front of her face to protect her from the sudden northern winds. It was quite windy, sending a slight shiver down her spine. But it was nothing new to her, she always dealt with the extreme. "Be careful"

"Aren't I always careful?" She asked, her sassy nature letting itself be known for a bit. She had been trained to be the best of the best. She knew nothing else by that time in her life. All she knew was that she had to finish her mission with nothing but perfection. So she was always careful and analytical. She was walking down the steps, her right arm carrying the equipment that she was going to need while the left hand grabbed the handle of the stairs provided by the Quinjet. She immediately felt the coldness of the steel on her hand, even if she had gloves that protected her from the coldness.

"I assume that is a rhetorical question…" She smirked at the male voice in her ear. She knew just how to get on his nerves. It was very easy to annoy the hell out of people. She had to understand human anatomy, who can say that she also didn't learn just how to mess with their mind. She had to use every advantage in her arsenal to be able to be the one on the winning side. To be able to survive in the harsh environment that was life. To be on the top and to never suffer. "Stay in touch"

The woman heard just how the communication was cut off, leaving her alone in the barren snowfield. She sighed a bit, deciding to start preparing everything to be able to record everything that her contractors needed to know about what they had found. She hadn't walked any further, but even she knew that something was really wrong with what was happening. She set up everything, the machines already operational. She took a video camera, holsting it in her arms as she started to record everything. She walked closer to the crater it left behind, her feet almost sliding through the snow. Thankfully, her balance was perfect, the recording as still as possible.

"This is definitely strange…" She hummed, her eyes looking at the seemingly blazing smoke that came from the crater. Ashes fell on the snow turning it gray, a color of impurity and one she knew perfectly well. But she had never seen something like this before, and she could really state various things that she had seen in her life. The smoke still covered the majority of the area,  though seemingly it started to slowly disappear with the initial affected area being the only one with the smoldering smoke. It surprised her, because she had done things that are not normally possible for any average human being. Nothing should be able to surprise her, but here she was in Siberia looking at what may as well be the greatest mystery she had ever seen.
