Chapter three
Percy woke up in an extremely comfortable bed. As he got up, he walked to the closet and opened it up. He found a business suit, a sea green, gold hemmed robe, comfortable wool pajamas, a few novelty T-shirts, 3 pairs of pants, a basket of socks, and on a mannequin, a set of armor made of weird steel. He noticed a mirror on the wall, and looked into it. He was surprised. His hair was sea green with strands of black, his eyes had the entire spectrum, and his abs. He had an 8-pack. 'Nuff said.
Meanwhile, On earth
The campers were still trying to rebuild after Percy destroyed the camp. Jason didn't know why he would do that, but he suspected that it had something to do with Bradley Ross. Jason went to the seven. Other than Annabeth. She wouldn't approve, and they pretty much exiled her from the seven. Leo programmed the argo III's systems to treat her as an intruder, along with any person that wasn't part of the crew. The crew consisted of Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Leo, Coach Hedge, Will, Nico, Harley, Jake Mason, and a few people that weren't part of the crew, but honorary argonauts such as most of the hunters of Artemis, Rachel, Grover, Lou Ellen, the fifth cohort, the third cohort, and Don the faun. Leo had been working on the Argo III for a while, Annabeth and the rest of the camp not knowing about it, so that we could launch a secret quest to save Percy. Apollo, Hermes, And Hephaestus were helping as much as they could as well.
It's bigger, We're using the Archimedes sphere in the control room, where we have monitors on either side of the room showing all over the ship. Instead of stables, there's a hangar for celestial bronze automatons, Festus, and a jet to help defend the ship. There are twice as many ballistae, four onagers, two harpoons, twelve cannons, and an enchanted minigun that shoots glass with celestial bronze dust mixed in. There will be twelve cabins and the captain's quarters, a large mess hall with the camp's enchanted goblets, a hearth to make sacrifices, chill, and toast marshmallows, and the deck has a training course. There is also a med bay for will to work in, and a planning room. We were on the ship at 48 hours until departure for Rome, which is the only place with a chasm to Tartarus deep enough to fit this ship. "Okay, the plan is simple." Said Hermes. "You start here at Long Island, make your way across the Atlantic, avoiding Heracles, sail through the mare nostrum, arrive at Rome, blow the chasm open, and descend. While you are down there, you search through tartarus, pick up some magic river water, a titan lord of the west, and percy, and get out. Got it?" We all nodded in agreement. Apollo brought a large basket of ambrosia and two gallons of nectar and said, "These are for the med bay. Don't waste 'em." We all went on board and continued working through the day. Eventually, it was time to head back to the cabins, so we went to bed. At night, I had a vision. It showed Percy throttling Phorphyron. Then, it showed a tall man and Percy fighting, Percy was stained gold. After that, I woke up and got up. We went back to the argo III at T- 20 hours to launch. We worked on getting the last of the fuel and supplies into the ship. Hephaestus came back and left a squad of service automatons to help perform maintenance throughout the quest. At T- 1 hour, I was bringing in the last of the firewood, when Annabeth saw me going into bunker 9. I groaned. She asked, "Where have you been going for the past few weeks?" "Just working on something with Leo-" "And a bunch of other random campers?" "Yeah. We need their specific talents for this project."
Before she could continue, I blew her back with wind, ran into the bunker, and locked her out. I loaded it in, and the rest of the crew were on board. We unpacked into our cabins, and then the bunker 9 hangar doors started to open. An alarm started going off, and a voice said, "Argo III launch in T- 30, 29, 28," The campers were startled, and I heard them yelling things like, "ARGO III?" "WHAT?!?!" and "WHO'S DOING THIS!!" "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Launching Argo III." And then, we took off. We saw all of the campers yelling up at us, and shooting arrows, but it did nothing. Pretty soon, we were above the atlantic. We decided to set down on the water. After like 10 minutes, we were already fighting off sea serpents and a lotan. The lotan was huge, and was trying to bite off a ballista. It got turned into a pincushion by Leo's minigun. It roared in pain. The lotan was causing a storm to come up. "Where's Frank?!?" Hazel shouted over the storm.
I looked around, and couldn't find him. Suddenly, Another lotan came up, and took a bite out of the first one's body, ripping out its heart. Golden dust started swirling around in the storm, and the nice lotan ripped up the sea serpents. At this point, it looked like the storm was colored gold. Then the nice lotan turned into a bird, and flew onto the deck. Then, it turned into Frank. "Hey guys." "FRANK?" We were all surprised, because he could also turn into monsters. Before we could ask him about it, an Iris message appeared.
*Meanwhile, in Chaos City...*
Percy walked around in the room, getting dressed, and then he walked out the door. He knew he was a lot stronger cuz, you know, the whole appearance change. As he was walking, he ran into Kronos. "Oh! Hey, Grandpa K!" "What?" "Y'know. Grandpa K? Cuz you're my grandpa, and your name starts with- never mind, i'll just call you Kronos." "Good, Percy. Good. Anyway, Lord Chaos wants to see you immediately." Uh oh. The creator of the universe wants me. "Okay..." I started walking that way. On the way, blue guy met me. "Hello Perseus. A pleasure to meet you. I am Pontus. Ever since the explosion of The Princess Andromeda, I have been intrigued by you. I have watched you in my oceans, and was impressed when you nearly drowned Akhyls. With her own poison. Anyway, Chaos wants to give you your domains." "Ah. So you're the ocean god?" "Yeah. I like fish n' stuff." he said in a kermit voice. I tried hard not to laugh. "*GAK! CAN'T- Breathe- BLBLBLBLBLBLBL-" I started laughing at that point.
"OH SCHIST! We're gonna be late! Let's go!" So we ran. We ran past satyrs and manticores, weird portraits of the gods acting like children after not getting a second helping of dessert, even a few statues of chaos, and a sword with a smiley face in a glass case labeled, "Mr Ares, taken from Thebes by Pontus" Eventually, we made it to the throne room. "Ah, Perseus. How nice of you to FINALLY show up." Chaos said with an angry look on his face. Then he started laughing. "Anyway." He said. "I summoned you here to discuss your domains, sacred animals, and symbols of power." " What are my domains?" "You are Perseus, god of elements, weapons, and liquid. All liquid bends to your will. You can summon weapons, and control the elements. Metal, earth, lightning, fire, water, ice, air, you name it."
"So. my symbol of power will be my sword. It is no longer Anklamusos. It is now Omi Dynami, to symbolize it's raw power. My armor is now called Ygro, to symbolize how quickly one can change, like liquid. My sacred animals are the pegasus, and the hippocampus." "Excellent. But, you won't like this part. So we'll tell you the good news first. The demigods who believe you're a good person are sailing here to Tartarus in a new ship they built with direct help from Hephaestus, Hermes, and Apollo to save you and Bob. Plus, you can change your appearance to whatever you want, except for your eyes. The bad news, you might need to return to Camp Half Blood in disguise to prove your innocence and save the universe from End, or do the same thing, but overthrow the olympians in the future. So what will it be?"
