Chapter 10

We landed at NASA. As we walked out of the ship James' Wife and kids ran up to him and greeted him. I had no family to greet me though. Then I saw Mell's brother, Griff, come up to me. I didn't know how to tell him.

"Were's Hellon?" He asked.

I hung my head and twisted my fingers. "She's on the moon... with the plant samples." I mumbled.

"What!" Griff snapped, grabbing my shirt and holding me up."You promised me you would look out for her!"

"More importantly you promised me some plants commander." Interupted the president. lighting up a cigar.

Griff put me down and approached him. The body guards were about to step in when the president told them to stand down.

"My baby sister is on the moon by herself, and you are worried about your stupid plant!' Griff fumed.

James came in and separated them.

"Calm down! Calm down! It was all my fault but-"

Suddenly Griff threw a punch at James knocking him down to the ground. Then Griff got on top of him and held his fist up.

"What do you mean it was your fault!' He yelled

Quickly James spit out every last detail about how Me and him were looking for Mell, and accidentally took off in the shuttle. Griff got off of him and helped him up.

"Why would you install something like that in the shuttle." Griff asked the president.

"Say if you were running to the shuttle for some kind of emergency. Once you touch the floor The doors with stay open for two seconds and close automatically. Then the shuttle will go back to the ship." He explained.

"What kind of scenario will cause you to do that?" I asked

The president looked around and saw the people around us. I realized that his explanation was classified amongst civilians.

"We will talk about this elsewhere." He said, exhaling a puff of smoke.

I lugged the bag all the way back to the cave. It took me a very long time since the bag was very heavy. Once I got inside I dropped the bag on the ground and slumped on a rock. All the aliens ran out and spread out around the room, playing and socializing. The one that had been following me sat on the rock next to me.

"Do you have a name?" I asked.

He let out a small chirp and crinkled his nose.

"You probably have no idea what I am saying"

Then he chirped again and shook his head.

"Wait, you do understand?"

He nodded his head.

"Then what's you name then."

He looked around the cave for a small rock. once he found one he carved some sort of round figure in a bigger rock. I examined it and realized what it was... It was earth.

"Your name is Earth? How did you get a name like that." I asked.

Then he carved more images in the rock. He drew a smaller circle next to earth and an arrow going the the moon with a rectangle at the end of it. Then he drew stick figures with tails, and ones without tails together. Then he made dots followed by stick figures fighting and killing each other. They had been visited by other humans before. They had taught them human ways, and some how went to a war.

"How did this happen?" I asked

But Earth just shrugged. He put the rock down and walked off. My suit made a beeping sound. my air was getting low.

"Hey I'm getting low on air, I better head back."

Earth stopped and looked back at me. He walked up to me and put his hands around my helmet. Then he started to twist it open.

"No don't take it off!" I yelled trying to squirm out of his grip.

Then he pulled off the helmet and thew it on the ground. All the air from my suit gushed out and spread out. I was breathing normally. That's how he could breathe well when he entered the base. The moon has an atmosphere.

"Oh my God!" I gasped. "How..."

Earth turned around and grabbed one of those plants from the ground. It kicked and squirmed in his hand, then he bit it making a hole in it. Then all the lava flowing inside spat out like air. Then he took another bite and ate it. He held it up to me offering me some.

"No, I'm good with just water..." I said taking a water bottle out of my suit.

Earth chirped loud, and grabbed the bottle out of my hand. I snagged it back from him and twisted the top.

"What's wrong with you? It's not like it's poison." I said.

The second I took off the cap, the water sprayed all over Me and Earth, freezing solid to our skin. The ice was very cold and was giving me frost bite. I wiped the ice off of my face. Earth was running all over the place trying to scrape it off of him on the rocks, but the ice stuck to his skin.

Suddenly his friend ran up to him with a plant, and bit a hole into it. He sprayed Earth with the air that gushed out of it, and the ice melted instantly and evaporated in the air. I looked at the plastic bottle covered in ice and threw it on the ground.

"Earth, I'm sorry! Are you Ok?"

Earth got up from the floor, picking small bits of ice from his skin. He picked the bottle up from the floor, and threw it at the drawing that he made on the wall. I took another look at Earths drawings. The humans were shooting what looked like thick, long bullets. But it wasn't bullets, it was water.

"Earth... Did they freeze your people?" I asked.

Earth lead me to the lobby were all the other aliens were. We entered his small personal cave, he sat me in a corner and began to dig in the dirt.

"Earth, what are you doing?"

He kept digging, soon he pulled out two small frozen aliens. It was a woman and a child holding onto Earth other, the looks on their faces were like they were terrified.

"They froze your family..." I said, holding the frozen rock in my hand

Earth bit his thunb, and began to shed tears. I handed him his frozen family, and he held them close to his heart. I scooted next to Earth and put my arm around him, patting him on the back as he cried.

"I will fix this..."
