While sitting in chemistry, already done with our assignment that I did by myself no thanks to my partner Dave, I thought about the day. I went to geometry, then P.E., then World History, then I was alone at lunch, now I'm here. Well, that burned about 30 seconds. Just when I'm about to start reading the last book in the Harry Potter series for about the hundredth time, Mr. Goldman got a phone call. When he picks up the phone, everyone goes dead silent so that they can try to listen in. " Carter Watson, you're checking out. Make sure to get all your work from your next few classes." Before I could even get up, people started asking who Carter Watson was, even Dave asked! So, I stand up, walked to the front of the class, and say as calmly as I can, "I'm Carter Watson! Thank you Mr. Goldman," and left the room. As I walk down the hall, I start thinking. Mom should still be at work, they never let her leave early and I know she left because I saw her leave. So, who's checking me out? Dad's in Africa helping with their recent earthquake. Mary (her sister who's 24) is still at college. I don't have a doctors appointment. What the heck is happ-
Before I could finish my thought, a bag is put over my head and I'm being dragged across the floor. Right as I'm about to scream for help, someone sticks their hand in the bag and gags me! I can tell we're in the parking lot, probably going to a car, and I can hear whoever is taking me away to my death is trying to get their car keys. Racing through my mind isn't why their taking me, were, or what they'll do. My only thought is, why hasn't anyone seen this and put a stop to it? When I'm being put in the trunk or the car or whatever it is, I hear someone running toward us.
Finally someone isn't a complete idiot!
My kidnapper drops the bag and starts fighting, hopefully, my savior. After about 5 minutes of fighting, one of the unforseen men fall to the ground with a thud. Just as I'm about to wonder who won, I hear a man's voice say," It's okay Carter, you're safe now." The man takes off the bag and un-gags me. That's when I see my savior and he's not what I expected. He has tall and kinda scrawny, around my age, maybe 17, brown hair and blue eyes, and he has on a blue button up shirt with a bow tie and glasses. In summary, he was a kinda cute, teenage nerd. My only thought was, how the heck did he knock out that guy? " Anyways, I'm Kyle. I'm here to recruit you." What the heck is he talking about? Before I could ask, he started yanking my arm, dragging me over to a blue van. " Hold up, I don't even know you! Heck, I don't even know what I'm being recruited for!" So many thoughts are running through my head I couldn't think straight. " I'll explain on the way," said Kyle. " On the way where?" " You'll see. Just trust me. And I promise, I won't put a bag over your head," he chuckled. And for some reason, that calmed me down.

*there's a picture of Kyle, just imagine him with glasses
