When the world first began, there were five gods. Earth, Sea, Sun, Moon, and Fate. The earth deity created life on land, the sea deity life in the oceans, the sun brought warmth and fire, plenty and famine. The moon, however...she longed for something more, and when Fate, her sister, offered her the chance to bless the world with her own creations, she agreed.
The first shifters were born. The Ancestors. Her children.
The moon gifted each of her children with the strengths and abilities of the gods, however, they had the weaknesses of humans. They lived, they died, and in between they loved and raged and blessed and cursed.
And through them, the world could be chaos or order.
Over it all, Fate kept a keen eye. Watching. Waiting.
