Kisame dropped tiredly next to Itachi in the shade of a tree after a long fight in the burning sun while trudging through the river village. Itachi handed him a water bottle and the shark man thanked him. It has been 2 years or so since these two have been partners, and they have finally gotten used to one another. They were in pure sync now.

They sat in peace until Samehada began to growl slightly. Itachi looked at Kisame questioningly, and the shark man turned to the sword, but it jumped from his scabbard and slithered into the nearby bush.

"Did it catch a scent?" Itachi spoke

"SAMEHADA GET BACK HERE!" Kisame frowned and got up to follow it, but two kunai fell in front of his feet stopping him.

Itachi stood up looking towards the trees "Who is there?"

Kisame smirked feeling another fight drag on "Heh probably some-"

"Wonderful person? Yes!" My voice echoed between the trees.

Kisame's eyes widened as he turned to Itachi in panic. I dropped in front of the two and their jaw's dropped seeing me all grown up about 20 with Samehada in my grasp.

"You guys miss me?" I said with a smile but in a less cheery voice than I was.

Kisame smirked "So you are back?"

Itachi walked up to me "You finished training?"

I nodded and Kisame's smile faded "You did the chunin exams?"

I nodded sadly "Yeah... I was the last one standing. The Mizukage said that I was special"

Kisame nodded in understanding. Unlike Itachi the mist had their own style for chunin exams where the students had to fight to the death and the last one standing would make it to the chunin title. "So... you came to piss me off once more by taking my blade"

I smiled and handed him the sword "Actually the Mizukage recommended me into the Akatsuki like he did to you"

Itachi squinted looking at Kisame and I nodded "Yes... I too met the man controlling the Mizukage. What a sick ironic world"

He looked at me trying to change the gloomy subject "Where are your kiba blades?"

"I had to give them up to the Kirigakure armory where they truly belong" I said opening my hands "I'm weaponless. But I'm still a mean ass trap artist...if you call it art"

Kisame ruffled my hair "Well look at that Itachi, she can talk normally without her loudmouth and she sounds more humble now. She must've been through a lot of shit"

I laughed and moved away fixing my hair "Well regardless you are once again stuck with me" I said taking out a scroll "And I was sent to hand you your new mission"

Itachi took the scroll from me and motioned for me to follow "We were just sitting down to take a break. You can join and tell us more"

I nodded and took a seat next to them on the ground as Samehada wrapped itself in my lap making me laugh.
