Dear Brother,

I know you haven't even hatched yet but I already need to make a promise to you. A promise that I will do my best to keep. A promise that is so important for you and me. And that promise is that I promise to never leave your side. We will stay together always. And I will always be at your side. Whether it be for a thousand years or just one, there is nothing that will make me leave you.  Now, that I've gotten that off my chest I feel as if I should introduce myself. I'm Lizzie, your sister. And I know I haven't met you yet, but I know that I already love you.

Dear Brother,

Life in the sea is not nearly as interesting as it seems. The land seems quite appealing at some moments. But I'm still hear aren't I. That's because of you of course. I love you, brother. Funny enough you still haven't hatched. How long has it been now. Well I'm not entirely sure. However, don't worry, I'll still be here waiting when you eventually decide to hatch out of your egg. I just wish it would be sooner. I'm not good at this waiting thing. But I'm doing it for you. Every move I make. Every decision. It's all for you. So that one day you will open your eyes to a beautiful ocean. A beautiful ocean that is waiting for you.

Dear Brother,

The salmon attacks have gotten worse. There's more of them and so I just want to know why. Is someone sending them or are they coming on their own free will. If this keeps up any longer I don't know what I'll have to do. I've been protecting you for years now and you still haven't hatched. We are the only ones left, and I'm not losing you too. I was supposed to protect all of you, but no one ever said for how long. Don't worry, brother I won't let anything happen to you. I love you and never forget that. If I'm gone when you wake up go on without me. Live the life you deserve the one I've always wanted you to have down here.

Dear Brother,

This might be the last letter I write you. I have to leave you now. I know I made you a promise all those years ago but sometimes promises must be broken. Even unbreakable ones. The salmon have just hurt us too much. And with time I've realized that there must be something I can do to stop them. And with careful consideration for your health I have decided to cut them off at the source. Which means I must go to the surface. I'm sorry for leaving you and I know I'll never be able to forgive myself for it. But I must do it to ensure your own survival. I said I would do anything for you. Which is why I must leave. Goodbye.

Dear Lizzie,

I recently found your old letters to me from when I was just a little egg. There's so many and I've only managed to read a few. Mostly the important ones. Like where you talk about the salmon invasions. They're all gone now, so I guess you leaving caused them all to follow. Oh, I wish I could've met you, but I'm not sure if I ever will. The ocean has been so kind to me, like you said, but I don't think I can stay here much longer. After finding out I have a sister, a SISTER, it sounds so weird to say it. I think I should leave the ocean. It's been years since you wrote your last letter to me and even more years since you wrote me your first letter. I think I'm going to finally leave the ocean. I've been down here for several years, but it's just not the same now that I know I have a sister. A family. No matter how small. When I find you, because I will. I have too. I'm going to make sure of that. I'll feel as if a part of me has been restored. I can't wait to meet you. MY SISTER! Lizzie. I'm so excited.

A/N: Sorry, if this was a really short chapter. The next one will definitely be at least 1000 words longer. I just really wanted to write something with the seablings and this is the first thing that came to mind. I hope you still enjoyed this one-shot despite it being so short and let me know if you have any suggestions for a one-shot.
