Chapter 4: Training exercises

Venom: 'hey, Y/n? Is it safe to say that you're the strongest student in this school?'

The next day, Y/n sits down at his desk, ready for his last class of the day. He raises an eyebrow in confusion at Venoms statement.

Y/n: 'woah, that's... a bold thought. Why?'

Venom: 'well, Class 1-A is full of the top students here. And you placed first amongst them. That makes you the best of the best for now!'

Y/n: '... when you put it like that... but that's just a test. Who's to say i'll be top in fighting? Or rescuing. Or... other stuff?'

Venom: 'stop trying to be humble. You deserve this!'

Y/n: '... not yet.'

Y/n yawns and stretches his arms, before resting his head on the table. The classrooms chatter become white noise to ease Y/n into a light nap as he starts to snore lightly. A few minutes of napping later, and a loud voice scares Y/n awake.

???: I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!!

The doors to 1-A slams open, jolting Y/n upright in surprise. He rubs his eyes and mumbles to himself, turning to find whoever woke him up.

Y/n: '... All Might...?!'

Yes. It was, in fact, the number one hero All Might that awoke Y/n from his sleep. The class starts to admire him, in awe at the fact that All Might himself will train them. He walks up to the front desk, dressed in one of his old hero costumes and that iconic smile on his face.

All-Might: greetings, class! I teach Basic Hero Training here at U.A! It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero...

All Might trails off once he lays eyes on Y/n, but quickly regains his composure. Y/n notes All Mights hesitance, and Venom hums in thought.

All-Might: You'll take the most units of this subject! Lets get right into it! This is what we'll do today-!

All Might reachs into his back pocket dramatically, and pulls out a card that reads "Battle".

All-Might: Combat Training!

Venom: 'ohh, how convenient. Let's see if you are good at fighting, Y/n...'

All-Might: And to go with that are... these!

All Might points to the wall more dramatically than earlier, and from it multiple cases labelled with numbers are extended out. 19 to be exact.

All-Might: costumes made based on your Quirk registrations and requests you sent in before school started.

Y/n: 'oh, crap. I didn't do that...'

Venom: 'is there anything ELSE you forgot to do that may or may not bite us in the ass later on?'

Y/n: 'it's alright. As long as no one draws attention to it-'

Iida: Excuse me, Mr. All-Might!

Iida raises his hand to ask a question. Y/n groans quietly.

All-Might: Yes, Young Iida!

Iida: Apologies for interrupting, but there appears to be only 19 costume cases! Has there been a misplacement of some kind?

All-Might: excellent question! I was just about to address that! It would appear that Young L/n hasn't submitted a costume to the Hero Department. Care to explain why?

All eyes turn to Y/n, who sweatdrops a little and lowers his head, trying to come up with a lie.

Y/n: well, sir... i brought my own from home, if that's alright?
