Dedicated to @sarcasticshadow for voting and inspiring me to write again. A vote may not seem like much, but it means a lot to someone who pours their heart into every work that they publish to see that someone appreciates the effort.

What I see is your bleeding heart
That tarnishes your soul
And I know we must dare to part
To become, once again, a whole
Our chafed lips can no longer
Seek each other for solace
We must dare to be stronger
Before we can cocoon ourselves in lovers' bliss
Our hungry eyes
Cannot feast upon each other
We must dare to be wise
And be wise enough to leave, not smother
Our blazing fires
Should not dare to ignite
We must extinguish our desires
Until the time is right
And when it is time, we must give it everything we can
We must cherish our love, flaws and all
Love is not easy, but easy was never the plan
In order to be able to walk as one, we must first crawl

Sometimes there comes a point in relationships where you have to take a break and find yourself again without the help of your significant other. This poem depicts that time, from the start to the end. I write this in hopes that someone going through a rough patch might see this, and find faith again in love and hope in a future. The best advice is most often found in clichés, and the fact of the matter is that love isn't easy -it's just worth it.
