In the Ometikyna forest wind blowed and birds chirped as laughter was heard from giggling children. Those children being the Kiunas and the Sullys.
The Kiunas consisted of two siblings Hoku the older brother who was around 9 and Eve, his younger sister who was 7. Earlier in the year their mother, Hitari, was killed on a voyage and so the children were left to live with the woman's with her childhood friend Neytiri and her husband Jake. The two raised her best friends kids as their own and treated them as such.
Currently Jake had taken Neteyam, Hoku, and Eve fishing. Like usual, the fish gathered around Eve's feet, the girl would jump when the fish would brush against her, scared when large ones would come.
"It alright Eve, they're just saying hi," Jake reassured the weary girl, calming her nerves and bending down to pet them so that she would do the same. The girl smiled when the fish followed her fingers and tickled her.
"I got it Dad, it was right where you said it would be, by Eve!" Neteyam exclaimed enthusiastically, happy that he caught their food.
"Nice one Neteyam," Jake smiled over at his boy before congratulating Hoku as well because he also caught one. Eve on the other hand was messing around with the fish and muddy sand.
