Chapter 15

The arrival of Renee Dwyer had brought about many new problems for the new couple. Every morning she was there in the kitchen cooking food for Charlie and Bella, always conveniently forgetting to cook for ana, each morning bella would be sat at the table awaiting the breakfast she no doubt made her mother make every day.

This day was no different, yet again Renee had cooked for Charlie and Bella and yet again forgot about ana, and yet again Charlie refused to eat anything that his mate had not cooked which always made her smile.

So as usually Ana waited for Renee to leave the kitchen before she cooked both her and Charlie their own breakfast, she always prided herself
On making it look and taste way better than anything that Renee made, as usual as she cooked Charlie was stood next to her talking to her about what their day would be like.

Today would be the very first time that Charlie would be going back to work after his accident. And just the thought of that made her absolutely scared, neither Charlie nor ana had left the house since Charlie was discharged from hospital, for almost two weeks they had been in stuck in a nice bubble for the last few weeks, even with the arrival of Renee their nights had been occupied with just them, or sometimes the wolf pack.

As she stood there thinking about how today was going to go, she hadn't realised she had spaced out until two arms snaked around her waist.

"Are you stressing again my love" he whispered as he laid his head on her shoulder
"I wouldn't call it stressing more like I have concerns about your first day back" she muttered

He smiled a little as he kissed her jaw gently "your bound to be concerned darling this is new for both of us, but I'll be extra careful, I'll come home for lunch be I'll be a simple phone call away" he said, his voice full of love as he looked at her

She turned her head and looked at him before she leaned forward and kissed him gently "I love you" she mumbled
He smiled softly as he stroked her cheek "I love you too baby" he mumbled as he grabbed both of their plates and walked with her to the living room so they were away from Bella and Renee.

Their breakfast was simple, they ate, they talked and then when it finally hit ten ana was stood by the door watching as Charlie drove away from their home.

Watching him drive away filled her with dread, it filled her with questions that couldn't be answered.

She wondered if an accident happened again would she make it on time, would she be forced to choose between death and immortality for her mate, they had both discussed her own immortality but they had never discussed his immortality or even if he wanted to be a vampire one day. That would be something they both need to discuss in the future just as a precaution.

But she wouldn't spend the next two hours stressing so she did the next best thing, she tidied, granted she could have planned a lesson for when she returned to work next week but with both Bella and Renee glaring at her from their place at the table she knew she wouldn't get any actual work done.

She hummed softly as she danced around the kitchen cleaning before she got to the washing. She smiled as she folded her own clothes as well as Charlie's, but what made her smile more was the fact that her clothes and his had now began to smell exactly like him and she loved it more than anything.

As she turned around and looked directly infront of her she looked at Renee, Bella had disappeared at some point and with her own day dreaming of Charlie she hadn't heard her leave, but she knew she was still in the house, but what shocked her more was that right in front of her Renee Dwyer was pointing a gun at her. In all honesty it should have been funny, a human woman pointing a gun at a vampire, she knew it wouldn't kill her if she was shot but it would certainly expose her secret of immortality to this immature woman.
