Story begins..........
It was raining heavily accompanied by thunder and lightning, Anjali woke up Aditya by singing him a birthday song. It was Aditya's 10th birthday, and Anjali had saved up for weeks to buy him a remote control car. Anjali has been a single mother to Aditya since her husband, Dinesh, passed away, leaving them with almost no financial resources. Despite working various low-paying jobs, including her current position as a packaging girl at a small factory, Anjali barely manages to make ends meet for herself and Aditya.
Aditya was thrilled to finally have a toy that was new and one that worked.
"Mum.. Mum... look how fast I can make this car run... vroooommmm.. Vrooommmmmm.. vroommmm...."
"Hehe... You make sure not to break it now..." Anjali says that as she was getting ready for work.
While wearing her saree, Anjali remembers when Dinesh was alive, how he would try to convince her to wear it below her navel, and would ask her to expose it while strolling with him on the streets, so people who look at them as a couple, would get jealous of him. Thinking about those days, Anjali smiles to herself and looks at his picture frame talking to herself "Wish you were here today..... I would wear my saree anyway you wished... just to see the smile on your face... and our little Aditya turned 10 today....."
Despite Dinesh's passing, Anjali continues to wear her saree in the manner he would have preferred, with it draped below her navel and sometimes exposing it while walking on the streets. Despite receiving harsh remarks from judgmental individuals, Anjali remains committed and unbothered, ignoring their gossip and stares.
Despite the heavy rain, Anjali drops Aditya off at school and heads off for a long day of work. She knows that by the time she picks him up from her neighbor's house, he will likely be half asleep, and she won't have much time to feed him before he's sound asleep for the night. While she wishes to spend more time with him on his birthday, she is unable to take any unplanned time off from work due to her job's policies.
Anjali and Veena were eating lunch, when Tameesh shows up with his thug friends and grabs Veena by the hair and drags her to the corner, smacking off her plate, he thrashes her against the wall. He puts his hands in her blouse to snatch the money she had secured under her bra. Anjali tries to intervene, but they push her away and while doing so Tameesh catches the view of her belly "Wowww!!! What a show.... Veena you never told us about your friend here... damn... look at that smooth belly and perfectly centered navel.... Arrrghhh.... Too much to handle... hahahaha!!!... What's your name sweet cake.... "
