Hinny's Happily Ever After

Chapter 6

At long last, it was the end of Ginny's last term, and Harry hadn't been happier in a very long time. he practically ran down to Platform 9 and three-quarters, and greeted Ginny with a hug, and a long kiss. Once again, they Apparated back to Number 12 Grimmauld Place.

"It's been a long term," Ginny said as they walked in. They got ready for the graduation party at Hogwarts. Ginny wore a strapless white dress with gold sparkles. She put her hair in an updo with a flick of her wrist. Harry wore a suit with a crimson and gold tie, the colors of Gryffindor house. Together, they made their way over to the Hogwarts courtyard.

CRACK.

Every seventh-year student was there, along with all the teachers, and all of Harry and Ginny's friends. They greeted Harry and Ginny, and everybody began making speeches. Harry went first. He made his way up to the podium, with a shining confidence in his eyes. He cleared his throat:

"Everybody, may I have your attention please?"

Everyone went silent, eager to hear whatever Harry had to say.

"Thanks, everyone, for joining us today. Anyway, Hogwarts has been my home for many years. It protected us many times, and I would just like to say thank you. Also, I would like to add one thing: Ever since my second year, when I saved Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets, I saw her in a different light. Ginevra Weasley, you have been the shining light of my life for many years. Would you mind coming up to the stage, Ginny?"

She walked up to the podium, and Harry got down on one knee. He opened a box, with a beautiful ring inside, bearing two gems: a ruby and peridot, representing their birthstones.

"Ginny Weasley, would you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?"

Silence swept the crowd. Ginny struggled to find her words, for she was holding back the tears in her eyes...

The crowd waited.

"Yes! Yes! Of course!"

The crowd cheered loudly, and they kissed, more passionately than they had ever kissed. In public, that is.

Whistles and cheers erupted from the crowd as Harry and his new fiancé walked off the stage, hands intertwined. Harry knew a new era of his life would be soon to come.
