Alexander Kartveli was the designer of the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt. He and his team take the credit and yea maybe the A-10 should be looked at again to see if it's really useful the plane was introduced in the 70s and warfare changed.
Alexander Kartveli should be credited for the A-10 design. before you ask the A-10 was designed in the 60s and Kartveli passed away in 1974. Is it outdated? I suppose but we will have to see in the future.
A-10 is a-okay aircraft for the time it was introduced but considering modern warfare is different from the 60s or 70s.
Aircraft - P-47 Thunderbolt, F-105 Thunderchief, and many other aircraft.
However, I like the F-111 Aardvark. because of its name, its sexy design and its looks cool and it was a good bomber despite its flaws. Every aircraft has its flaws.
Interestingly the F-111 was supposed to be a naval aircraft and air force aircraft but the aircraft did not meet the navy's expectations and it was shipped to the air force.
Do you like the A-10 or F-111 Aardvark?
