Chapter 4: Never Again

Taehyung watches with teary eyes as the alpha protecting him grimaces in pain. "No. Not again. Never again." He whispers and tries to push the larger alpha off of him.

"Get King Jeon to his room and bring a healer! Now!" The King shouts as his alphas carefully hold onto King Jeon and help him stand up.

Taehyung sobs as he watches King Jeon being carefully escorted out of the chaotic room. "He met me. He should never have met me." Taehyung whispers and covers his face as the horrors of his nightmare return.

"Nana, bring Taehyung to his room." Taeyeon frantically tells their nanny when she sees that her brother is about to have a breakdown.

Their nanny quickly helps Taehyung stand and leads him out of the chaotic room. Once Taehyung is in his room where it is quiet and peaceful, he sobs and curls up into a ball. His nanny quietly sits beside him and gently pats his back to comfort him.

After a couple of hours pass by, a servant knocks on Taehyung's door, so his nanny gets up and answers the door. When Taehyung hears the servant inform his nanny that King Jeon will be fine he sits up and dries his tears. The young prince feels a certain anger rise up in him.

King Jeon is startled when the doors to his room are slammed open and a furious prince with glowing red eyes storms into the room.

"Do not ever do that again! Because of you, both of our lives were cut short in our past! I do not wish to relive that horror once again! Stay away from me and never speak to me again! You have done nothing but bring me pain!" Taehyung shouts out in anger hoping to keep the King who would die for him away. This is the best way to keep you safe. If you are not protecting me, you will live a longer life. I would have died that night anyways, but you would have lived on.

King Jeon watches as Taehyung quickly storms out of the room without another word. "Both of our lives were cut short." King Jeon whispers as he repeats the angry princes words. "You died that night too. I couldn't protect you. I am so sorry." He cries and looks up at the moon. Taehyung's cruel and angry words cut deep into the king's heart as they repeat in his mind.

"I wanted to know your name, but it is better that I never knew your name." Taehyung whispers as he quickly walks into his room.

"Your Highness, what is going on?" His nanny asks when he returns to his room.

"Will you ask King Kim if I can meet with him tonight?" Taehyung asks as he begins to pack his bags.

"Very well." She mutters and leaves the room as she worries for the young prince.

"Taehyung, what is wrong?" Taeyeon asks when Taehyung walks into her room with a large basket in his hands.

"Give these herbs to King Jeon for me. They will help him heal, and you giving them to him will help you with mating with him. Tell him the basket and herbs are from you." Taehyung hands the large basket filled with rare herbs he had picked during his many hikes.

"Taehyung, what is going on?" She asks when she receives the basket from her younger brother.

"Prince Taehyung, he said for you to meet him in his and the Queen's chambers." Their nanny informs Taehyung when she walks into Taeyeon's room.

"Thank you." Taehyung quickly leaves his sister's room.

When Taehyung knocks on the door of his parents' room, his father's voice tells him to enter.

"What is it you want?" The King asks when his son walks into the room.

"I will go to the northern border. You asked me to go once the festivities are over; however, I think that it would be best for me to go there now since more bandits are attacking our villages there." Taehyung answers his father.
