Chapter 47: Because Of Me

I stood there, and I stared at the floor of the court, at that. As it was that I knew that I deserved to be in the spot that I was in just now. As I knew that as much as it did in fact upset me as to the fact that it was the case.
I knew that Xavier was making the right call for the team. As I knew that I would be the same way if it was that I was the coach. And my star player just seemed to be out of it tonight, all at the exact same time too.
I was not too sure as to just why it was that I was even out of it. As it was that I knew that I had gotten fine sleep the night before. As well as the fact that it was that this was in fact a very important game to me.
As it was that I just seemed to start to stand there and stare down at the ground, at that. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to start to speak to my self a little bit under my own breathe. As it was that I felt sick as to just what it was that was even going on.
"I'm just like my father... A failure..." I did in fact just seem to say to my self, all at once. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to simply go right on ahead, at that. And I then began to start to wake my self up from every thing else that was going on.
As it was that I just seemed to realize that it was that I might have spoken up a bit too loud. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to see Cody, who was right beside me. As he then did in fact just seem to start to look right at me.
Just as soon as it was that he had in fact just also seemed to have done as such a thing like that. That was when he also then did in fact just seem to start to speak right back to me. As I then did in fact just seem to start to listen as to just what it was that he had to say to me just now.
"I don't know any thing about your father Trevor... But you're not a failure... You lead this team..." He said to me, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As it was that he seemed to have a little bit of a smile on his face as to just what he had said to me.
I was almost about to smile, all at the exact same time too. Until it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear the buzzer go off, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I began to start to realize that it was in fact now half time.
As it was that I seemed to start to realize as to the fact that it was in fact the case. That was when I then did in fact just seem to start to look right back on over to him. As I then did in fact just seem to start to shake my head right back on over to him.
He seemed to have his own eyes grow wide, as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. As it was clear that he was not too sure what I was getting at. As he then began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that I did in fact need to say to him in the very first place as well.
"Not today though... Look at the score..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As I saw that we were in fact down 29-59 at the half, all at the exact same time too. As not a single one of those points had in fact been me, at that.
As well as the fact that I had only gotten 2 assists this whole game, along with nothing else to show for accept for at least 4 turnovers, all at the exact same time too. As it was my worst stat line that I had all year, even worse than the first time we had played them.
As it was that I seemed to have thought that kind of way for just a little bit more time. That was when it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to hear the voice of Oliver. As it was that he then did in fact just seem to start to speak to the both of us.
It was clear that it was that he had in fact over heard the conversation between the both of us just now. As it was that I looked right on over to him. As I began to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he needed to say of course, at that.
"Calm down you 2... It's not the end of the world... We didn't expect to be this far any ways... Let's just get in to the locker room and take a breathe..." He said to the both of us. As it was that he also seemed to roll his eyes at the both of us just now.
Just as soon as it was that he had in fact done as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when I then did in fact just seem to hear the loud voice of Xavier. As he then did in fact just seem to start to yell out loud to every one, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to realize that it was in fact the case. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to turn my head right on over to him. As I once again listened as to just what ever it was that he had to say to every one, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright boys... Let's get in to the locker room and talk about this..." He said, in quite a bit of a grim voice if I was not going to lie to my self either. As it for sure did in fact not make me feel all too good as to just what it was that he was about to say to us all, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that all for just a little bit more time. I then in the end, did in fact just seem to start to wake my self up. As I then did in fact just seem to start to lift my self up from off of the bench, at that.
As it was that I just seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when it was that I just seemed to see my team mates do the same thing. Almost as if it was that they were in fact following me, all at the exact same time too.
I shook my head a little bit to my self, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I then did in fact know that they were just doing as it was that Xavier had told them to do. As I then also seemed to speak to my self a little bit more quiet this time.
"They shouldn't be following you any ways..." I said to my self, all at once, at that. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to cringe a little bit to my self, as to just what I had said. As it was that I did my best to try to act as calm and as normal, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact just done as such a thing like that, all at once. I then in the end, did in fact just seem to start to simply go and follow Xavier. As it was that I saw that he was in fact going down the big tunnel, over to where the away teams locker room was at.
I did my best to try to keep my self calm, all at the exact same time too, all at once. Which was a bit hard, when I just all of the sudden heard a loud voice from the crowd yell. As I could not help but to listen as to just what ever it was that they had to say, all at the exact same time too.
"Why are you letting the little midget play the game! Is he even in middle school yet! Where is your star?" He said, as I was not sure if he was being serious. Or if it was that he was simply mocking us all, all at the exact same time too.
Either way it was, it did in fact just seem to get me very angry. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to look right up at the fan. As they did in fact just seem to have a big smile on their face, as to just what it was that they had even said.
I could see that it was that they were in fact looking right at me, all at the exact same time too. As it was clear that they were in fact making sure that I had heard what they had said. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to ball up my fists, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at once. I then did in fact just seem to close my eyes, all at the exact same time too. As I then also seemed to once again speak to my self, all at the exact same time as well.
"Calm down... You can't do this again..." I said to my self, all at the exact same time too. As I knew as to just what it was that I was in fact even talking about just now. As to the fact that it was that I was bringing up the fight that I had got with the one kid at my school, all at once.
As it was that I just seemed to simply stand there and stare for a bit more time, all at once. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to feel a hand on my shoulders. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to open my eyes, all at the exact same time too.
I opened my eyes to all of the sudden see the face of my friend Brandon, all at once. As it was clear that he was in fact a bit worried for me, all at the exact same time too. As he seemed to start to begin to speak right on over to me all of the sudden.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to realize that it was in fact the case. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to stare at him right in to his eyes. As I then began to start to listen as to just what it was that he had to say to me, all at once, at that.
"Don't listen to that guy... You're better than him... You're playing ball, and he isn't..." He said to me, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he seemed to have a smile on his face as to what he had said to me at the end, all at once, as well.
I almost wanted to smile as to just what it was that he had said. Until it was that I began to start to remember as to just how bad I was playing ball. As I was sure that there were in fact a lot of scouts that were in fact in the crowd just now.
I began to panic a little bit as to the fact that those thoughts came in to my head, all at once. As it was that it did in fact kind of scare me for my future of playing basketball. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to once again dip my head a little bit low to the ground, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact just seem to continue to follow the rest of the team. As I also did in fact just seem to speak to my self a little bit under my own breathe, all at once, at that.
"Relax... This is still just freshman year..." I did in fact just seem to say to my self, all at once. As it was that I right away kind of felt a little bit bad as to just what I had said.
As it was that it did in fact kind of feel a bit wrong to me. As it kind of made it seem like I was in fact giving up on my team, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As I then did in fact just seem to start to lift my head up, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I heard the doors to the locker room then start to open, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to hear the grunt of Steve. As it was that he then did in fact just seem to start to speak out loud, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that I seemed to realize that it was in fact the case. I my self, then did in fact just seem to start to turn my head right on over to him. As I then started to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he needed to say, all at once.
"Well... Here we go... Wonder what the hell he has to say to us this time..." He said, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I kind of felt like I did not blame him for thinking that way. As wrong as it was that it kind of seemed like it was.
I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at once. As I then did in fact just seem to turn my head away from him. As it was that I was a little bit worried as to just what it was that Xavier was in fact about to say.
He seemed to have a calm and a relaxed look on his face. Which I knew was the exact opposite of what it was that he was thinking just now. As it was that I knew him well enough to know as such a thing like that at this point, none the less.
As it was that I seemed to have known as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I then did in fact just seem to speak back to Steve. As I knew that he was listening as to just what it was that I felt like I needed to say to him just now, none the less.
"Yeah... That's not a good thing..." I said to him, all at the exact same time as well, all at once. As it was that Steve did in fact just seem to look at me with his own eyes wide. Just as soon as it was that I had in fact said what it was that I had said to him, at that.
I kind of felt like it was not really in my place to say what it was that I had said to him either. As I knew that I was the one to blame, at that. And that I was the reason as to just why the team was in fact playing poorly.
Even if it was that I was in fact playing him, at that. I knew that I was the team captain, and I needed to lead the team. Which was the problem, as I knew that I was playing awful, and I was also not leading the team.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that for just a little bit more time. That was when I heard the voice of Brandon, as he spoke from right behind me. As I of course just began to start to listen as to just what it was that he felt like he must say just now, at that.
"I think you should trust Trevor on what he is saying... He knows Xavier very well..." He said, as it was that he did in fact just seem to have his eyes wide at Steve. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact even said what it was that he had said to him.
Steve then did in fact just seem to nod back to the both of us. As it was that we all 3 then did in fact just seem to get our eyes on Xavier. As to no surprise what so ever, I now noticed he had a very upset look on his face.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to stand there and stare for a little bit more time. I then in the end, did in fact just seem to breathe in a little bit of a soft sigh to my self. As I then did in fact just seem to all of the sudden also speak out loud to my self, all at the exact same time too.
"Well... Here we go..." I said to my self, all at once. As just as it was that it did in fact just seem to be that I had in fact said what I had said. I then began to start to hear the not so happy voice of Xavier, as he just then began to start to speak to us all.
As it was that I just seemed to have began to have realized that it was in fact the case. I kind of rolled my eyes a little bit to my self. As for what ever reason or another, I was not taking this seriously at all, just now.
I was not all too sure as to just why it was in fact the case. As I just seemed to let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, at that. As I began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he must say to us all, all at the exact same time too.
"I'm not angry at you... I'm just disappointed... We are playing worse than we did the first time we played them, and that was when we didn't have a team..." He said to us all, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he just seemed to look at us all one by one, at that.
As it was that he then did in fact just seem to have his eyes squinted as he did as such a thing like that. As it was clear that it did in fact seem to make a lot of them uncomfortable, all at the exact same time too. As to just what it was that he was even doing just now, of course.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to realize it was the case. That was when I then began to start to hear the voice of Braxton. As it was that I then began to start to turn my head right on over to him as soon as it was the case.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to do as such a thing like that. I also noticed the rest of the team do as such a thing like that. As we all then began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he had to say, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
"I'm sorry coach... I don't... I want to blame it for not being used to playing point guard... But I can't... I'm just not on my game today..." He said, all at the exact same time too. As I knew that he had only scored one basket this whole game, as he had 2 other points at the free throw line.
Still, it was in fact a whole lot better than I was playing. As it was that I also knew that he did in fact have more assists than me. As it was that I just seemed to all of the sudden shake my head a little bit to my self, all at once, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that all of the sudden. I then in the end, did in fact just seem to start to once again hear the voice of Xavier. As he still some how managed to keep him self calm as he continued to speak to us all, of course.
As it was that I once again began to realize that it was the case. I once again began to start to look at him with my eyes wide, at that. As I then began to listen as to just what ever it was that he had to say to us, all at the exact same time as well.
"No... It's not really your fault in particular... The whole team is playing like little girlies..." He said, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact almost want to laugh at the way that he had phrased that.
But I quickly stopped my self before it was that I had the chance to do as such a thing like that. As it was that I then did in fact begin to start to realize as to just what it was that was going on. Or rather, as to just what it was that I had needed to do just now.
As it was that I then began to start to realize as to the fact that it was in fact the case. I then did in fact just seem to start to look right back on over to the rest of the team. As it was that I just then also seemed to step up in front of the circle, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at once. I saw that they were all looking straight at me. As it was clear that they were listening as to just what it was that I had to say to them, all at once.
"No... If it's any ones fault... It's mine... I am the captain... The game revolves around me for the team... We suck because of me..."
