He lay dying on the floor, the same spot he promised to protect Aldos and Everett and fox, same spot next to the worn out sofa where he promised to take care of Aldos after the fall,
And he broke every promise he made.
"I'm so so so sorry, please god let them forgive me. Please... "
He began to sob
Sure he had cried a lot since they got lost but this was the worst
He couldn't breathe, ugly raw sobs drowning out any other sounds in the room, he knew he didn't deserve forgiveness, he didn't deserve to find his way home, see his family, live.
He's the reason all his friends are dead and he knows it.
He was paying the price he knows he deserves.
It was over.
