"Do you know what a majority vote is?"

Huh? The vision began to blur a bit as light appeared.

"Ah.. it seems I don't have enough time to explain, just know this.."

"By voting with your heart, you deceive the truth, the truth of logic."

I rubbed my eyes to see Sato, my therapist, looking at me concerned. What happened just then, what did they mean by that..?

"Are you alright? You were going to tell me about your new job."

Did I pass out for a few seconds or something..? "Yes, right! I got a job at Asu-Naro, the medical company."

From what it looked like, Sato began to become pale as she heard me mention Asu-Naro. "Asu-Naro..?! Asu-Naro!? Asu-Naro is dangerous..!"

I sat there silently, I felt stupified by what she said. Asu-Naro is dangerous..? No. I had to get a job soon. "It's alright, I swear!" I chuckled awkwardly.

  "Are you sure..?"

  "I promise!"

She looked at the clock for a few seconds then at me, "Our time is up, stay safe."

___

It wasn't everything, being warned that your only chance of a new job, a new life, a new opportunity, is considered 'dangerous'. That's awesome, right, (Name), right?! Being different.. that's all that we get. We get the scraps that others have, the shitty leftovers of jobs, of homes, of everything.

Why did I have to be different?

Why couldn't I just be.. normal?

"Fuck!" I yelled as I slammed my fist into the horn. God.. you're losing your mind over this whole thing. Just calm down.. just do that, think for a second.. what could go wro

The clouds began to grow darker and gloomier with each mile, as thunder began to form. In the distance, a loud thunderboat rang against my ears as it struck, illuminating the entire road up ahead. That lightning caused me to get out of my daze, but right before I could a singular scream came out of me as the headlights shone immediately.

I whammed my foot into the brakes, and my heart dropped.

  .

  I'm.. alright.

The air was empty, and lifeless for a moment. It held an intense feeling inside of my stomach as the rain continued splashing against my windshield. Everything was blocked out at that moment, as my heart began to race faster and faster at that moment.

What If I died in that moment, would anyone even miss me?

Or would I just be forgotten, like so many others?

Another stormy day, great. My mind was set on what happened earlier, not focusing on anything on the road until I felt a sudden feeling in my stomach. It was a tense and tight feeling inside of my gut and choked the breath out of me.

I looked up and saw it all in vivid detail, I heard the sounds of the car crashing into the other, the sounds of my bones crashing, and the sound of the slam in my head as it whammed into the steering wheel.
