Odetta hadn't received a letter back from Sirius, which either meant he received it, or he didn't. Only the events of June 24th would dictate whether he did or not.
But in the meantime, that wasn't the only thought clouding Odetta's head. She wondered if anything would happen with James the next year because she was bored. Though, if Odetta knew how much time she spent thinking of that topic, she'd convince herself that she actually had feelings for this boy.

"I never thought that exam would be over." James told Remus, who was walking next to him, as they walked out of their exams June 22nd.
"You're right. I almost fell asleep" The tall boy said, laughing.
"Oh yeah, Remmy boy, didn't you enjoy those five questions about werewolves?" James joked.
"Of course. Those are five questions I definitely were not getting wrong." Remus said.
Peter laughed from beside them.
"You never know, Remmy." James said.

"How'd you guys do?" Odetta asked the group of four other girls in their dorm room.
"Well, as always, I know I did amazing." Lily boasted.
"Yeah yeah, Lily. You always do amazing." Alice said.
"I know. And I plan to do nothing short of that." The redhead said, now focusing on packing her bags.
"Anyways, how did the rest of you guys think you did?" Dorcas asked.
"I think I did pretty well." Odetta said.
"I think I passed." Marlene said.
"I think I did good enough to please my parents." Alice said.
"I think I got good enough so that my parents think I'll be successful in the wizarding world." Dorcas shared.
"Well it's good that we all think we did pretty decent on our exams."
"Yeah, and it's even better than we're leaving early tomorrow." Marlene started. "You start to hate a place a little after you have to take exams for three days, with barely any breaks."
"I agree." Alice said.
"I think we should sneak into the kitchens and celebrate our hard work." Dorcas suggested.
The word "yay" rang out between the group of five.
"Okay then, let's go" Lily said, getting up from her spot on the floor.
"Okay you guys go without me, I'll catch up with you guys in a bit. Go have fun." Odetta told her friends, who all looked excited. Her stomach rumbled just at the thought of eating anything.
"Whatever you say, see you in a bit!" Marlene said, leading the group of four out.
Odetta waved to them with a smile as they left.
The truth was, she didn't want to sneak down into the kitchens with them and stuff her face with sweets and whatever else was in there. The words of her mother only clouded her head, altering her appetite completely.
She continued to pack her bags so that she wouldn't have to do it tomorrow. Only two more days until she'd potentially meet Sirius again, and she couldn't wait.
It was the hardest thing ever to do, keeping a secret like this from her friends, but all she knew was in the end, it'd be worth it.
After awhile of thinking and packing, she grew bored of it quick. So quick that while she fell asleep at three, she didn't wake up until three hours after the girls had gotten back, at nine o'clock at night. And by this time, surprisingly, they were asleep.
